RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DESCRIPTION
 Duties included incharge ward rounds, incharge outdoor, labour room, operation theatre working
as well as supervision of undergraduates and postgraduates, maintenance of duty roster, academic
programme and performance of on call duties. Also responsible for handling of emergencies
round the clock.

 FCPS-II training done at Military Hospital Rawalpindi included elective training in urology and
surgery for six months each, two years as registrar Obstetrics and Gynaecology, one year as
senior resident and one year as junior resident. During training performed residential duties in one
in three rota and did hands on training. All elective and emergency procedures were performed
under supervision as well as independently. Duties included morning and evening ward rounds,
attending outdoor patients, learning normal deliveries and attending to complicated deliveries.
Other obligations were lectures, clinical meetings, journal club meetings, and workshops. Each
trainee is supposed to be apt in carrying out hysterosalpingography, D&C, episiotomy,
instrumental delivery and caesarean section. Other procedures learnt are abdominal and vaginal
hysterectomy, colposcopy, hysteroscopy colposuspension, sacropexy, diagnostic laparoscopy,
and laparotomies. Other duties included rotation in family planningand duties as medical officer
incharge emergency, teaching Paramedical staff, attending general OPD, paying officer, and
temporary duties at other stations.

CAREER OBJECTIVE
To be a part of continuous medical education in order to achieve further experience in other fields of
OB/GYN, impart training to students and implement safe motherhood principals at all levels of medical
care to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality.

SPECIAL INTERESTS
I have interest in working in any subspecialty of OB/GYN like gynae-oncology, fetomaternal medicine,
Infertility, Laparoscopic surgery, or urogynaecology. I am preparing for MRCOG part II. I have teaching
