    Answer all questions. Submit your handwritten assignment (preferably in A4 Size


    White Sheets) to your tutor in the respective tutorial section on 26.04.2022. Refer to
    the course handout for the details of prescribed text books. Late submissions will not
    be entertained. There will be no partial marking.

    1. Question 42 from Page 312 of the prescribed text book T1. [3 Marks]

    2. Question 3.27 from Page 171 of the prescribed text book T2. [3 Marks]

    3. Read Section 3.18 from Pages 162 – 165 of the prescribed text book T2 and answer
    the following questions: [4 Marks]

    (a) Find the discrete Fourier transform of the 4-point sequence  xn   1,1,0,0 .

    (b) Find the inverse discrete Fourier transform of the 4-point sequence obtained in
    Part (a).

    (c) Compute the convolution of the two 4-point sequences


    xn   1,2,3,4 and  yn   5,6,7,8 .
    (d) Verify the Parseval’s identity for the the 4-point sequences obtained in Parts (a)
    and (b).
