3. Carol deposits a sum of money in a bank for 11 years at an interest rate of r% per annum. If
interest is compounded quarterly, the amount she will get is twice the original sum of money.
(a) Find the value of r.
(b) Using the result of (a), if interest is compounded continuously, find the ratio of the amount
after 22 years to the original sum of money. Express the answer in the form of m : 1.
