What is
NATURALISM?
Belief that nothing exists beyond the
natural world. Instead of using
supernatural or spiritual
explanations, naturalism focuses on
explanations that come from the
laws of nature.
What is
RITUALISM?
All myths are inverted to accompany
and explain religious ritual; they
describe the significant events
which have resulted in a particular
ceremony. Ritualism is when
someone rejects the traditional goals
of the larger societal culture but
accepts the means by which the
goals are achieved.
What is
DIFFUSIONISM
Was essentially a myth created to
make people accept a picture of
human prehistory, when scientifically
there was insufficient material to
make such reconstruction possible.
These scholars were simply
romanticists, rather than scientists.
