Sample Size :

The respondents of this study were the BS Accountancy students of St. Vincent College.
Respondents were selected through simple random sampling with the total number of
participants determined using Cochran’s formula.
For calculating the required sample size, Cochran’s formula is used which is:
Sample size = Z² pq / e²
Where,
e = margin error
p = estimated proportion of population
q = 1-p
For this study, 95% of confidence level has the z value of 1.96 and 5% plus or minus for
precision. After substituting required values the Cochran’s random sample size comes to
((1.96)² (0.5) (0.5)) / (0.05)² = 385.
As the sample size we are studying is small, we can use the modified sample size formula
which is:
n = n0/[1+(n0-1)/N]
Here the population size is 135 that is N = 135 and n0 value is 385 (from the above calculation).
Therefore, required sample size for this study should be 385 / (1 + (385-1) / 135) = 100 or more.
The sample size of 100 was taken.

Time Frame:
This study will be conducted from first semester AY 2022- 2023 at St. Vincent College. The
consultation per group was done on October 18-22. Chapters 1 and 2 were submitted on
October 24, while Chapter 3 will be submitted on November 3. The return of paper and
consultation will be on November 4-5. Chapters 4 and 5 will be in the following weeks.
