A very old ball shooting sport from the 13 th century, A traditional Frisian Game.
The first track for it was made back in 1393, a park in Harlem.
Field: You must throw the ball to a specific place in as few throws as possible.
Street: It’s just the same. Except the course is a street and the ball is heavier. You must keep the ball
away from ditches, long grass, etc.
Standing: You simply throw the ball as far and as hard as you can.

What has a giant stick, superior upper body strength, and can cross a river in a single bound? A
Fierljepper! But what are these curious, flying Dutchmen? How on Earth do you pronounce that word?
It's a traditional game from Friesland, 1956. More and More people started Fierljeppen. You must jump
over a river or a canal. You run towards the polsstok and climb higher to cross it and land on a sand bed
opposite of the starting point.

This is the most popular sport in the Netherlands. It is a team sport. You must kick the ball in the goal
post near the opposite team to score and the main objective is to score more goals than the opposition
by moving the ball beyond the line of goal.

FIFA stand for Fédération Internationale de Football Association (French), meaning International
Association Football Federation it globally governs Football. They are responsible for managing the game
at professional and amateur levels.

Beyond the obvious health and activity benefits, sports can teach us much about life. It teaches us about
teamwork and team spirit. It teaches us to work together to achieve a common goal. It’s also about trust
and responsibility and about dealing with success and failures.
