Comparison of Means

A Kruskal-Wallis H test was used to see if there were differences in sei between
five different groups of marital respondents: "married," "separated," "divorced,"
"widowed," and "never married." Distributions of sei were similar for all groups,
as evaluated by visual inspection of a boxplot. Sei were statistically suggestively
different between groups, X2 = 53.1, p = <.001.
