Internet security

Today, the Internet has penetrated into our lives and activities. In addition to
computers and laptops, we connect all mobile phones, tablets, refrigerators, TVs
and many other portable devices to the Internet. Therefore, it is very important
to know as much as possible about security in the World Wide Web. It is
necessary to find the right ways to protect our privacy when we are online. Many
people think that Internet security is an illusion, and it is impossible to be
protected now, because the website collects confidential information so subtly
that we don't even know what exactly they know. This may be the case, but this
uncertainty is another reason to maintain your privacy and avoid leakage of
personal data on the Internet.

First, update the software. The best protection against viruses is not antivirus
protection, timely software updates. After all, its developers monitor possible
threats and try to protect their products with innovations. Therefore, when the
device offers you an update, do not ignore it!

Secondly, you should always check the sites you are sitting on. No need to enter
personal information (login, password, phone or payment card number) at the
request of unverified sites. Such data can only be provided to those resources
that have already passed your verification or known networks (for example,
Google, Facebook, Rozetka, etc.). Also, be sure to check the name of the site in
the browser address bar (www.google.com.ua, not www.goolge.com.ua). Such a
connection is considered secure, and your data will not fall into the hands of
outsiders.

Thirdly, a secure password. A secure password is the first guarantee that your
personal information is under a secure lock. The password must be complex
(letters and numbers, large and small, at least 8 characters). Passwords for
different resources must be different. Remember that the password should not
contain personal data (for example, last name or date of birth). If you have many
passwords for different resources, write them down or use password storage
programs.
