Modular Distance LearningThe pandemic has resulted in the closing of schools all over the

world.Children are out of the classroom. That is why different learning modalities areused in the
continuation of learning of the learners. One of those is modularlearning. When we say
modular learning, it is a form of distance learning that usesSelf-Learning Modules (SLM) based on the
most essential learning competencies(MELCS) provided by DepEd. The modules include sections on
motivation andassessment that serve as a complete guide of both teachers’ and students’
desiredcompetencies. (SLMs) in print or digital format/electronic copy, whichever isapplicable
to the learner. Learners under Modular Distance Learning can also useother resources such as
Learner’s Materials, textbooks, activity sheets, studyguides, and other study materials. Usually,
teachers will have to deliver appropriatelearning materials. However, students can also access
these materials bydownloading electronic copies through their computer, tablet PC, or smartphone.As
public schools are scheduled to resume their classes nationally onOctober 5, 2020, the
Philippine education system is now transitioning to the newblended learning. The Department of
Education also insists that education shouldnot be affected, despite the demands for an
academic freeze owing to thecoronavirus outbreak. The government has adopted a distance
learning strategy inorder to sustain the education of millions of Filipino students. Modular
DistanceLearning is one of the most convenient choices for most typical Filipino students.It was also the
most preferred learning system based on the results of the LearningEnrollment and Survey Form for
