Read the text carefully then do the activities.
There are different types of people around the world. They have different nationalities, religion and
culture. We share one world. However, we are still not equal or united together. One example of inequality
today is the huge gap between men and women. We call this gender discrimination. (§1)
In our society, women don’t have the same rights as men. Boys can play in the street at night. In
addition, they can follow their dreams and choose their favourite job. Besides, They are free to travel alone
and live wherever they want in the world. (§2)
In the past years, the World Peace Organization has insisted on equality between males and females.
Women can be independent and successful. They can also be powerful and smart just like men. They can
manage their own business and projects. As a result, they will certainly contribute to the development of
their country. (§3)
The new generation must learn to be tolerant and respectful towards women. Both men and women are
equal human beings. If they are united to work together, men and women will be able to flourish their
society where they can enjoy a successful and peaceful life. (§4)
