1- The report should reflect on the student(s) personality and
professionalism. Therefore, the report should be written professionally representing the student(s) academic writing skills. For example, the report can be used to demonstrate the student(s)’s writing/analysis/discussion skills during interviews of job vacancies. Thus, the student(s) should seriously take this writing opportunity to represent his/their academic skills.
2- The student(s) should write the report electronically using
word processors (such as Microsoft Word) and then save the report in PDF format before submitting the report on the course’s webpage on Blackboard.
3- The report should include 5 mandatory sections and a single
optional section following the instructions in number 4-A (below). Every section should be written on a separate page.
4- The report is evaluated (out of 15 scores) depending on the
compliance and completeness of the following sections:
a. The first section (mandatory) includes a title page in
which the student should write the report title, the student(s) names, his/their students IDs, the lecturer’s name, the course name, the course code, and the date when the report is submitted. Each of these should be place in a separate line, in the mentioned order, and aligned to the center of the page except for the date which should be aligned to right of the page. Except for the date which should be written in 16 points bolded font size following Gregorian calendar, all other texts on the first page should be written in 20 bolded font size. b. The second section (mandatory) includes the Abstract section in which the student(s) should write a summary describing the entire report about which he/they is/are writing. In this section the student(s) must explain what he/they write in each section and what experience that the student(s) have reached while researching the chosen topic. The word “Abstract” should be placed at the top of this page, aligned to the left of the page, and written in 20 points bolded font size. Text should be written in 14 points bolded font size and the lines spacing should not be less than or more than 1.5. c. The third section (mandatory) includes the report body in which the student(s) should write details of the topic he/they has/have chosen. This section should not be less than 2 pages and should not exceed 10 pages. The texts should be written in 14 points bolded font size and the lines spacing should not be less than or more than 1.5. d. The fourth section (mandatory) includes the conclusion in which the student(s) should explain the importance of the topic he/they has/have chosen and the finding(s) that the student(s) have reached after reading about the topic. The word “Conclusion” should be placed at the top of this page, aligned to the left of the page, and written in 20 points bolded font size. Text should be written in 14 points bolded font size and the lines spacing should not be less than or more than 1.5. e. The fifth section (mandatory) is references in which the student(s) should list the number of references he/they use/cite to write the information on body section of the report. The word “References” should be placed at the top of this page, aligned to the left of the page, and written in 20 points bolded font size. The references should be listed one by one and written in 10 points font size (not bolded) and the lines spacing should not be less than or more than 1.5. f. The sixth (optional) section is for the appendixes in which the student(s) should list all the figures, tables, or images relevant to the information mentioned in the body section. The word “Appendix” should be placed at the top of this page, aligned to the left of the page, and written in 20 points bolded font size. There are no rules governing the font size or the line spacing in this section.
