Hello Davy, I agree with you on the fact that Faerie Queene is a wide ranging allegorical tale. I

also agree that the purpose of the allegorical tale was to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth I and its

own country. The characters portrayed in the tale have a symbolic meaning in the real world.

According to Spenser, corruption in Catholic churches was not unusual during his days. I also

agree that noble persons are expected to be virtuous and disciplined.
