Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly

buy goods or services from a seller over the Internet using a web browser or a mobile app.
Consumers find a product of interest by visiting the website of the retailer directly or by
searching among alternative vendors using a shopping search engine. Lots of people also
know it as the activity of buying products or even services over the internet. These days,
almost every single family in the whole world is using this way of shopping to fulfill their
needs rather than the offline shopping we all used to do in the past.
In order to use an online shopping service, all people need is just an internet
connection, and of course, money, and also devices that allow them to surf through the app or
website. Nowadays, most of the time, people tend to choose e-money over cash. According to
research by Raihan Maldini Rahim from the University of Brawijaya, electronic money offers
faster and more convenient transactions than cash, especially for micro-value transactions. In
addition, most online shopping also has a search facility which means that it will be easier for
consumers to find the product they seek and of course more efficiently. It’s one of the reasons
many people use this type of shopping a lot.
