1. INTRODUCTION
As part of the development solution for the Tampen area, Statoil as the operator has
decided upon a combined subsea development of the Skinfaks and Rimfaks IOR
prospects.
The concept for the subsea development consists of one (1) new template i.e. Template 'N'
(prepared for 4 wells) producing through two (2) new 10” pipelines to the existing 'L/M'
Templates; the existing 'L/M' Templates are connected to the Gullfaks 'C' Platform via an
existing bundle system (GFSAT2). A new single satellite well i.e. Satellite 'N5' will also be
tied back to Template 'N' by means of a new 8” pipeline.
A new tie-in manifold will be installed next to the existing 'L/M' Templates to enable pigging
of both new and existing pipelines.
An Integrated Service Umbilical (ISU) containing a 3” centre line, hydraulic tubing and
signal/power cables will be installed from the GFSAT2 bundle towhead C4 to Template 'N',
and a second in field umbilical will be installed further to Satellite 'N5'.
A 4" Gas Lift (GL) pipeline will be installed between Template 'N' and the existing
Template 'J'.
Statoil has decided to split the Scope of Work (SOW) into the following three (3) distinct
Work Packages:
Statoil have awarded the Work scopes for packages A and C to Subsea7.
Packages A & C will be run by Subsea7 as an integrated Project under a single Contract
number with Statoil: 4500954142.
