Reflections and Learnings

Augustine’s search for the Truth

St. Augustine was a devout seeker of the truth, but the more deeply he delved into his
search, the more he realized that he could not seek the truth on his own. The ability to
form a group through which we could share our search for God with others and the
knowledge of how much we all needed the company of friends allowed me to learn that.
By doing this, we might encourage a particular form of unity that would allow us to
support one another as we face life's many difficulties and join them in their search for
God, the source of all truth.

Moreover, we must be content with what we are about to learn and feel gratified by it in
our pursuit of the truth. God is the ultimate enigma. As a result, striving to comprehend
God is a lifelong endeavor. When life is difficult, when our prayers seem to go
unanswered, when things don't turn out the way we had hoped, when we realize how
little control we actually have over our circumstances, and when things go against our
expectations, we frequently see this most clearly.

God desires that our thoughts be properly enlightened and taught in order that we may
comprehend fully who God is. God desires that we continue to develop our awareness
of his mercy, justice, goodness, power, and love. And after we have learnt these things,
we will have a better understanding of how to love God, depend on God, follow God's
instructions, and show thankfulness in everything and in every circumstance that God
has planned for us. By acting on our beliefs, we demonstrate and demonstrate the truth
of what we believe. Through our words and deeds, we expressed the truth to others,
and in doing so, we emulated God's unfailing love for us. Maybe every one of us needs
a bit more time in our lives to just look within and seek God in our goals, passions,
motivations, and experiences. In order to look within, we should be able to frequently
rest more with the God who loves us.
