INSTRUCTION:
This experiment reveals which of the six candies disintegrate quicker and slower.
Formulate Hypothesis
Candy 3 (Frooty- COLUMBIA'S) is more likely to dissolve quickly, whereas Candy 6 (Fres-
MAYORA) is most likely to dissolve slowly.
Test the Hypothesis

Figures 1a to 1h demonstrate the methods we follow to test our hypothesis. The items we prepared are
shown in Figure 1a, along with a plastic cup, tap water, and several candy brands (C1 X.O - Jack'n Jill, C2
White Rabbit - ABC, C3 Frooty - Columbia's, C4 Kendi mint - Candy man INC, C5 Snow bear - Candy Maker
INC, and C6 Fres - Mayora). Figure 1b shows the beginning of the candy addition to the water. Figures 1c
to 1h display the candy's disintegration time.

Analyze and Interpret Data
We used six different candy products in this experiment to determine which would dissolve most
slowly and quickly. In a cup that was filled with the equal amount of tap water, we let the candies
sink. Subsequently, we decided to take a recording of the dissolution every 10 minutes without
altering anything. The expected percentage of each confectionery at each given moment is
shown in Figure 2. After 10 and 20 minutes, the outcomes for each sweet essentially remained
the same. Frooty took the lead with a percentage of 20%, followed by Fres with 18%, White
Rabbit with 15%, X.O and Kendi Mint with 10%, and Snow Bear with 5%. Following 30 minutes,
Frooty and Fres took top place with a percentage of 50%, followed by Kendi Mint and White
Rabbit with 45%, X.O with 40%, and Snow Bear with 30%. With an estimated percentage of 80%,
Frooty is still the candy that dissolves the fastest after 40 minutes. Fres, Kendi Mint, White Rabbit,
and Snow Bear are the next fastest, followed by 75%, 70%, 65%, and 50%, respectively, for their
estimated percentages of dissolution rates. Frooty has a percentage of 98% over the course of
50 minutes, while Snow Bear has an anticipated dissolving rate of 70%.
The comparison of the six various candy brands' dissolution rates is shown in Figure 3. The candy
took more than an hour to disintegrate fully. The first to disintegrate was Frooty (Columbia's)
after 1 hour, 2 minutes, and 10 seconds. With a pace of 1 hour, 10 minutes, and 32 seconds,
Kendi Mint came in second. Third place went to White Rabbit, which disintegrated after 1 hour,
12 minutes, and 55 seconds. Fourteen minutes, 14 minutes, and six seconds later, X.O
disintegrated, placing it in fourth place. It took 1 hour, 16 minutes, 35 seconds for fres to melt
after which it took 1 hour, 21 minutes, 53 seconds for the snow bear to dissolve.
Conclusion
Each of the six plastic cups containing tap water was filled with six different candies and was settled
to dissolve without physical influence. After careful examination, which took considerable time, we
arrived to the conclusion that our theory regarding the candy that dissolves the quickest, the Frooty
(Columbia's), was accurate. On the other side, the snow bear (Candy Maker Inc.), which we
mistakenly predicted in our hypothesis, melted the most slowly. However, factors like the
components, variations in color, and the overall quantity or weight of each candy should be taken
into consideration when determining how long the candy will dissolve. Nevertheless, the
experiment was completed successfully and produced a successful outcome.
