THEME PARKS

POINTS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE REPORT:

● creates an atmosphere of another place and time
● a type of amusement park that bases its structures and attractions around a central
theme, often featuring multiple areas with different themes.
● a park that features various attractions, such as rides and games, as well as other
events for entertainment purposes

EXPLANATION DURING REPORTING: So, before we start, ano nga ba ang amusement
parks? May difference ba sila ng theme parks? Based on my research, ang amusement park ay
isang malaking panlabas na lugar na may mga rides, laro, palabas, at iba pang entertainment.
Ilan sa mga popular entertainment options nito ay ang Ferris wheel, roller coasters, and water
rides. In addition to various rides, games, and shows, amusement parks also house various
restaurants, shops, and other entertainment outlets.

Amusement parks are stationary and are designed for long-term operation. Thus, this is how
they differ from carnivals and funfairs, which are temporary and mobile. Higit pa rito, karamihan
sa mga amusement park ay naglalaman ng mga lugar na may iba't ibang tema, ngunit hindi
lahat ng amusement park ay isang theme park.

As for the theme park naman, it is an amusement park that has one or more specific themes.
Therefore, its structures and attractions are based on a central theme. Some theme parks
feature multiple areas with different themes. Old west, fairy tale, at wildlife ang ilang halimbawa
ng mga tema na makikita mo sa mga theme park. Ang mga examples naman ng theme parks
sa USA or United States of America ay ang Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Knott’s Berry Farm,
California and Universal Studios Hollywood. For instance, kung titingnan natin ang Disneyland,
makikita natin na it has several themed areas like Tomorrowland, New Orleans Square,
Frontierland, Critter Country, Mickey’s Toontown, and Fantasyland.

Moreover, some parks have areas themed after popular movies like Harry Potter, The Pirates of
the Caribbean, and Avatar. The buildings, merchandise, staff, and even food in these theme
parks revolve around a theme.

The main difference between amusement parks and theme parks is that theme parks have a
unifying theme while amusement parks do not necessarily have themes. Although both provide
us with entertainment, theme parks create imaginary places and give us a more immersive
experience.
