Q#1:
Discuss wireless LAN standards IEEE 802.15.4 and IEEE 802.15.6.
Ans: IEEE 802.15. 4 is proposed for Wireless Person Area Network (WPAN) that
provides low data rate, low power, and low-cost applications in a short range. 4 is a
technical standard which defines the operation of a low-rate wireless personal area
network (LR-WPAN). It specifies the physical layer and media access control for LR-
WPANs and is maintained by the IEEE 802.15 working group.
IEEE 802.15. 6 is a standard for short-range, low power, and highly reliable wireless
communication in, on and around the human body. It supports a wide range of
applications in body area networks (BANs) such as healthcare services.
Q#02:
Explain IP version six Address Format with help of diagrams
Ans: An IPv6 address is 4 times larger than IPv4, but surprisingly, the header of an IPv6
address is only 2 times larger than that of IPv4. IPv6 headers have one Fixed Header and
zero or more Optional (Extension) Headers. All the necessary information that is
essential for a router is kept in the Fixed Header. The Extension Header contains
optional information that helps routers to understand how to handle a packet/flow.

Q#03:
Discuss the Mobile IP Networking and functionality.

Ans: Mobile IP is a communication protocol (created by extending Internet Protocol, IP)

that allows the users to move from one network to another with the same IP address. It
ensures that the communication will continue without the user's sessions or connections
being dropped.

An IP address serves two principal functions: it identifies the host, or more specifically
its network interface, and it provides the location of the host in the network, and thus the
capability of establishing a path to that host.

Q#04:
Consider the time to travel of data packets from router P to I is 2000 µsec, router I
to router L is 4 msec, router I to router F is 4 msec, router L to F is 2.5 msec,
router L to router M is 3 msec, router F to router M is 2 msec. router M to router
K is15 msec, router M to router Q to is 16 msec, router Q to router K is 12 msec,
router P to router Q is 14 msec respectively.

a) Draw the complete routing table for all nodes using Dijkstra algorithm. Show all
the steps of your procedure?
b) Find the shortest path between router I and router K.
