Mechatronix takes first win in Women’s Volleyball, 2-0

(CEIIT) wins against Blue Fire Nexus of the College of Education, Arts, and Social Sciences
(CEASS) sealing the first victory in Women’s Volleyball event, MSC Olympics, October 4, 2022.
Both teams from the two departments were fired up even before the first whistle was blown. With
the team led by Lupig and Jasa’s powerful spikes and coordinated moves, Mechatronix was off to
a good start early in the game. Putting up a fight, the Blue Fire Nexus closed the gap, but it was
not enough as Mechatronix won the first set, 25-15. Mechatronix did not show a single sign of
fatigue, even doubling up their phase as they enter the second set. The CEASS team played their
best, trading blows with CEIIT, but it was not enough to stop Mechatronix, who won the battle in
two straight sets, scoring 25-12.
Lupig and Jasa’s tandem generated multiple points for Mechatronix and sparked the team’s
camaraderie. They have been the most notable players for the team as their duo created a great
impact inside the court.
