Our hearts react to everything we do and feel, and it is evident through our heartbeats. After a good
exercise and we would feel tired, the heart would pump in a lot of oxygen, increasing our heartbeat.
Whenever we’re scared or troubled, we could feel out hearts pumping out of our chest. In front of that
special person, we would feel that certain excitement, unconsciously speeding up our heart rates. No
matter the situation, our hearts and heartbeat would indicate our current feelings and situation.

The heart and heartbeat correlates to all our body’s functions, emotions, feelings, and current activities.
According to the Collins dictionary, the heartbeat is the continuous series of such pulsations constituting
the rhythmic beating of the heart. The normal resting heart rates for adults range from 60 to 100 beats
per minute. Any more or less than these rates only mean that there is something different or something
abnormal about your body function. Several studies confirmed that the higher your resting heart rate,
the greater your risk of death. Most of this risk is due to heart disease, but other causes of death also
contribute to the risk. If you are healthy and fit, your heart will recover rapidly after exercise, promptly
returning to a lower rate. However, if you are out of shape, you'll probably be gasping for air after a
workout and your heart rate will likely be elevated for a greater amount of time.

Keeping track of our heart rate can give us insights into our fitness level, heart health, and emotional
health.
