after we watch the " how culture affects our personality " the sociological and psychological video we seen on
YouTube in channel of PRACTICAL PSYCHOLOGY, we make a reaction paper about it. In video says, that
every decision we make are influenced by the culture we raise in and that the culture affect us in everything, the
way we speak, act, and think of what we're going to do. but according to the video that " not all cultures hold
the same values, some cultures tend to encourage behaviors that are loud boisterous and competitive others
encourage quite respectful and more humble behaviors depending on the culture where you live. you probably
pick up on these values and they have definitely influenced your decisions and your personality (practical
psychology, 2019)". and it's really true because we have what we called diversity.

Culture is composed of different beliefs, values, behavior and other things that the people in the society shared.
Culture is everywhere. It is also a tool to communicate to other people. Having different culture is not a thing
you can ashamed of instead it is a way for us to unite and help everyone to understand different stands. As we
grow old, we are being surrounded by our own culture and this help us to shape on what we believe today. One
of our cultures is about our attitude and it is the "po" and "opo" to our eldest and whoever they are. This culture
that we have help us to known for being polite. Culture affects us in everything, the way we speak, act, and
even think of what we're going to do. In our everyday lives, culture affects it help us to develop and make
difference as we continuous to communicate with different cultures. Essentially, the culture over time is
manifested in different ways like writing where people from different country can easily understand our culture
as they read it in different platforms and how those symbolisms affect us also. Culture in its essence is how we
identify each of us and also perceive those people who around us. Some may argue that the only culture we
truly understand is our own but the truth is we Filipino's can understand different cultures. Culture affects us
tremendously in life, even in our everyday living. Culture is indeed everywhere. Every day, culture becomes a
wider concept, and as a result, people's personalities change. Reflecting on ourselves is the greatest approach to
assess the video we viewed. To attain this, ask yourself questions like "What type of person am I?" and "Why
do I act the way I do?" This question might assist you in determining whether your actions or behaviors are a
reflection of outside factors or the culture in which you live. We can attribute a lot of our personality and
personal integrity to our culture. People from cultures other than our own have a tendency to think differently
under individual circumstances. Other times, these variations could be really subtle and only become apparent
after years of communication with that person. Everything relies on the experiences they had as children. People

Yes, culture influences us or who we are today. How we live, learn and act. (Audia, 2012) The first culture we
become aware of is the culture of our family. From the day we are born until we develop, our parents make us
aware of the culture they grew up in, as well as what they think is right and wrong; sometimes, we can carry it
to adulthood and be passed on to the next. that generation of our family. Next is religion, especially religions
such as Catholicism, Muslims, the church of Christ, evangelists, etc., how we dress, what we don't eat, and how
a member of it behaves. Even countries hold beliefs. For example, in the Philippines, they are disrespectful
when you sip noodles loudly, while in other countries like Japan, they are happy because it shows that you like
the food. Also, in the Philippines, they are so glad when you talk to them, looking them in the eye, while in
Japan, it is considered rude and disrespectful. That's why many researchers say that culture affects our lifestyle
and personality. Even our perspectives on health and how we cope with the psychological stressor are all
influenced by culture. (Keith, 2009) We can also influence people and future generations; we are also one of
those who will shape them, just like what the older generation did to us. Let's note that all cultures are unique,
and we should respect all of the cultures in this world. At the end of the day, culture is not bad as long as we
know what is right and wrong.
