Covenant Relationship

As someone who comes from a Christian family and was part of a bible club, the story in
Exodus is very familiar to me. Mentions of Moses, the covenant, the Pharaoh and the various
plagues were prevalent in classes involving religion back in my elementary and junior high
school days. The pssages really rings to me as a Filipino yearning for freedom from a corrupt
government and the desire for peace and harmony. The Covenant was supplied by God to
create a law that is meant to govern and guide the people of Israel. As Filipinos we see elite
people abuse their power and break the law and get away with it. Our country is currently
engulfed in darkness and I wish that we will somehow break free from it just like the Israelites
did.
