DEAR ALLESSA (the love letter)

Film Synopsis

Dear Allessa is a Sad Romantic film in a modern setting. It tackles the pain of
love, the love of money and forced marriages. It also covers social unrest
caused by parents to their children as they deny them to pursue their dreams.
The story begins with a flashback of Allessa and her parents leaving to their
new home. This leaves John sad as he's losing his old friend Allessa.

Allessa and John grew up together in a high density suburb and they were
neighbors, they went to kindergarten together, but because of the differences
in mental strength Allessa's parents managed to buy a house in the high
density suburbs. And because of what they had attained they didn't want
anything that reminds or links them to their past.

After eleven years of separation between these two young lovers one thing still
connects them thus the tree they planted together during their childhood days.
John knows what he feels for Allessa is more than just missing, it's love and
Lucky enough for him, she feels the same. But both parents are not happy
about the relationship between their children.

John's uncle a famous poet serves as John's mentor. Uncle is an award winning
poet but his sister (John's Mom) is not happy about his poetry achievements,
since she's against the fact that one can make a living through Arts.
After Allessa drops John's calls he decides to visit uncle for an opinion. Uncle
believes parents are behind Allessa's sudden behavior and he helps John write
a letter which he believes will turn around the minds of Allessa and her
parents.

The love letter is first received by Allessas Mom and surprisingly it's first read
by Allessa who elopes to John after being touched by the power of words. Both
parents read the letter after discovering that Allessa is missing. They knew
where to find her, but thus not where she was. After John and Allessa spent a
night at uncle's place they knew there's more to love than they thought, so
Allessa went back home to pursue her studies.

Allessa was still waiting for her A level results after passing she went to a local
university where his father had already planned marrying him to his friend
Martin as a way of keeping poor John away from her daughter. Allessa loves
John but Martin uses juju on her and he impregnates her. She doesn't know
what to tell John so she ignores his every call.
