Romantic Opera
Romantische Oper (German for '"romantic opera"') was a genre
of early nineteenth-century German opera, developed not from
the German Singspiel of the eighteenth-century but from the
opéras comiques of the French Revolution.

La Traviata
La traviata is an opera in three acts by Giuseppe
Verdi set to an Italian libretto by Francesco
Maria Piave. It is based on La Dame aux
camélias, a play by Alexandre Dumas fils
adapted from his own 1848 novel. The opera was
originally titled Violetta, after the main
character.
The Barber Seville (ll barbiere di
siviglia)
The Barber of Seville, or The Useless Precaution is an opera
buffa in two acts composed by Gioachino Rossini with an Italian
libretto by Cesare Sterbini. The libretto was based on Pierre
Beaumarchais’s French Comedy The Barber of Seville.

Carmen
is an opera in four acts by
the French composer
Georges Bizet. The libretto
was written by Henri
Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy,
based on the novella of the
same title by Prosper
Mérimée.

What is indoor and outdoor recreational
activities?
- Indoor activities are carried out inside a space. They are
limited to the conditions of the place where they are held, to
the number of people participating in the activities, among
other factors. Outdoor activities are carried out in an outdoor
space. It can be a green space on a property or in contact with
nature

Roman Theater:
- Festival Performance of street theater and acrobatics.

- Theater plays were chariots races, gladiators, and

- Romans loved a good spectacle, they loved to watch
and admired bloody sports and gladiator
competitions.
- Comedy plays were popular from 350 to 250 B. C. and
women are allowed to perform on stage.
Medieval Theater:
- Perform in markets, public places, and festivals.
- They travel from one place to another to perform.
- Churches in Europe started staging thei theater
performance during Easter Sunday “The Mystery of
Adam”
- Over centuries the plays evolved around biblicals
themes from the Story of Creation to the Last
Judgement.
Renaissance Theater:
- University drama was formed to recreate Athenian
tragedy
- public theaters were developed like the Commedia
- Queen Elizabeth supported theater
- famous actor and poet in this period is William
Shakespeare
