HR ROLEPLAY

Narrator (PENUELA) :The company department heads recently met last Thursday,
and it was revealed that one department is currently lacking in employees; it was also
confirmed that the reason for the employees resignation is due to personal reasons,
and that employee decided to resign last week. The HR department is now in charge of
finding a replacement for the vacant position.

HR Head (VERE): So, among our departments here, we are currently in need a Sales
Representative. Our previous sales representatives has already submitted a
resignation letter, and possible explanation for leaving may be confidential, so we
cannot divulge her personal reasons. Any concepts on how to invite candidates for this
open position?

HR Assistant (CALONIA): To attract potential employees, I presume that we post it on


online outlets, as posting online is prevalent in present times, and many individuals rely
on social media as part of their daily routine.

Recruiter (PANICTICAN): I would also recommend making flyers to distribute outside.


We will start advertising externally.

HR Head (VERE): Now that everything is in spot, we will begin in creating the job
analysis and then we will proceed on to recruitment.

Narrator (PENUELA): The HR Department began by constructing hiring procedures,


conducting job analysis methods, and afterward posting jobs online and distributing
flyers outside of the company.

Summary: to achieve and exceed sales objectives by making cold


calls, renewing customer contrast and notifying clients about specials
or new items.

Specific duties and responsibilities:

1. Negotiating all contracts with prospective clients.


2. Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
3. Understanding and promoting company programs.
4. Visiting clients to evaluate needs or promote products and
services.
5. Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices,
and availability.
Standards of Performance : To be able to perform the task
successfully, he or she must be able to complete the job very
effectively.

1. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or any


related field.
2. At least eighteen (18) to fourty (40) years old.
3. Experience in sales.
4. Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Having interpersonal skills, ability to quickly build rapport with
both customers and suppliers.
7. Competency in Microsoft applications including word, excel and
outlook.
8. Able to work comfortably in a fast paced environment.

Narrator (PENUELA): Meanwhile, as they are currently distributing flyers, the words
written on the flyer captivated someone’s attention, and she became extremely
interested.

Applicant (ABELLANA) : And at last, this is an opportunity that I do not want to


completely give up!

Narrator (PENUELA): She quickly rushed home to compose an application letter to


notify the company that she truly wants to apply.
After the recruitment, the HR department gathered some information about the
candidates who had already sent their application letter.
HR Assistant (CALONIA): I have already accumulated some data on the applicants
who have already submitted their application mails.

HR Head (VERE): Okay, let’s move on to scheduling our interview, Ms. Panictican,
please notify our chosen applicants of the job interview schedule on January 10 th, 2023
at 2:30 pm.

Recruiter (PANICTICAN): I’ll be sending messages to applicants who have submitted


their application letters.

HR Head (VERE): Please go ahead.

Narrator (PENUELA): Ms. Abellana was chosen and received the text so she
prepared herself and went to the company for the job interview.
She arrived at the company and waited for the interview in the lobby or waiting room.
After minutes of waiting…..

Recruiter (PANICTICAN): Is Ms. Abellana already here?

Applicant (ABELLANA): (raises hand) Yes, I’m here.

Recruiter (PANICTICAN): Ms. Abellana please proceed to the interview room.

Narrator (PENUELA): As she entered the room she quickly put a smile on her face as
she greeted the Interviewer.

Applicant (ABELLANA): Good Morning ma’am.


HR Head (VERE): Good morning, are you one of the job interview candidates?

Applicant (ABELLANA): Yes Ma’am.

HR Head (VERE): Please take your sit and we will start, are you ready?

Applicant (ABELLANA): Yes ma’am , I’m fully ready.

HR Head (VERE): Can you tell us something about yourself that doesn’t appear on
your resume?

Applicant (ABELLANA): I am a good writer, I did not include it in my resume since the
position is centered on selling designs or clothing. One of my greatest strength is
writing. Therefore, I’m sure my abilities would come through.

HR Head (VERE): Why are you interested in working in our company?

Applicant (ABELLANA): As I looked further about your company,I have reviewed


employee reviews and heard how you support professional development for
employees through education and training. Additionally, I envision myself developing
professionally in this role. I would adore to be a member of your team and learn more.

HR Head (VERE): What motivates you to sell?

Applicant (ABELLANA): My motivation comes from a task, I appreciate taking the


time to explain a product’s features and benefits to the customer.

HR Head (VERE): I have something here, sell me this apple.

Applicant (ABELLANA): My clients are discovering that apples make a great, healthy
snacks for every member in the family. We purchase our apples every week from
nearby farms. Without using chemical fertilizers and pesticides, it is cultivated
organically. Additionally it is rich in vitamins and nutrients. So in spite to being sweet
and delicious, they are beneficial to your health.

HR Head (VERE): What salary range are you seeking for?

Applicant (ABELLANA): As a fresh graduate with no prior work experience, I’ll be


grateful for a minimum range with benefits.

HR Head (VERE): Okay that will end our interview, please wait for the further
