Welcome to English 090

090 is a remedial Pass/Fail English language course. To pass this course, you will
need 60% (--- points) or higher on your total grade.

Tests
All the grammar, vocabulary and writing questions in your tests and exams will be
based on the material studied in class and your course books.

- There will be 1 Test and 8 Quizzes. Each test or quiz will test you on the
grammar and vocabulary that you have studied since the LAST test/quiz.
- There will be a Final Exam (TBD).

- Students are NOT ALLOWED to make up any quiz, test, or exam.

- Assignments and homework should be handed in on time.

Grade Breakdown
Coursework: 24 points = 24%
Test 1: 35 points = 4% (Completed)
Quiz 1 (Present Tense): 10 points = 4%
Quiz 2 (Vocabulary): 10 points = 4%
Quiz 3 (Simple Past): 10 points = 4%
Quiz 4 (Vocabulary): 10 points = 4%
Quiz 5 (Time Clauses/Past Prog.): 10 points = 4%
Quiz 6 (Vocabulary): 10 points = 4%
Quiz 7 (Reading): 10 points = 4%
Quiz 8 (Writing): 10 points = 4%
Final Exam: TBD points = 40%
Total TBD points = 100%

Absence: 6 missed online lectures (12 hours) = NP (No Pass)

Come to class on time. Attendance will be counted starting Aug 9, 2020.
