INTRODUCTION
Switching from d20 to card draw following the basic rules as set in Core or Master Edition
profoundly changes the mathematical distribution. Thus it is necessary to adjust the targets, efforts
and value of hearts in hit points in order to preserve the balance of the game.

THE CHOSEN TARGETS


Base targets 10, 12, 15 and 18 should be replaced by 14, 15, 17 and 19 values

TARGET, EASY, AND HARD


HARD Meet or Beat TARGET +2
EASY Meet or Beat TARGET -2

DRAWING FOR EFFORT


Here, you just have new simple conversions for types when using cards as Effort dice :
● Drawing a Joker counts as 1 point
● BASIC: Draw 1, divide by half rounded up
● WEAPON: Draw 2, keep the Lowest
● GUNS: Draw 1, Redraw if FACE
● MAGIC: Draw 1
● ULTIMATE: Draw 2, keep the Highest
HEARTS AND EFFORT
Since the use of cards changes the mathematical expectation of the result, it is necessary to
change the value of a heart to preserve the balance of the game:

♥ = 15 hit points
You should also increase by +1 the Effort Bonuses gained from loot, milestones rewards or spells

ULTIMATE AND MASTERY


ULTIMATE: When you roll a 21 or 22 on your ATTEMPT you add an ULTIMATE Draw to your
EFFORT.
You might also mark 1 POINT OF MASTERY.
