The proportion of household earnings spend on food and drink, housing, clothing, and entertainment in

five European countries is depicted in the table. Five European countries whose outlay for the needs
compared are France, Germany, UK, Turkey, and Spain.

As is illustrated from the table, expenditure on food and drink and housing have the highest share in five
European countries. Whereas expense for clothing and entertainment have the lowest share.

In more detail, the proportion of income spent on housing in France, Germany, and UK have the most
share of around 30%. Meanwhile people in Turkey and Spain spend most of their income on food and
drink also accounting for around 30%.

In France, Germany, and Spain, the lowest share of income is spent on clothing, while in Turkey the least
share of income is outlayed on entertainment. Specifically for UK, both clothing and entertainment are
the lowest which have the same proportion of income spent on them accounting for 11%.
