Greek and Latin Roots

Knowing these roots will greatly increase your ability to decode new, higher-level words you encounter in challenging texts and/or
standardized tests, such as the S.A.T. and A.C.T. Some obvious roots have been omitted. For example, you likely already know that
anti- means against and pro- means support. Instead, this list includes roots that are common, but not always known by students. Please
note that some roots also act as affixes (prefixes/suffixes) and vice versa, but those special cases are listed here only once.
