The new 5 Series will be more traditional, giving the middle child in BMW's non-SUV lineup a very solid-
looking and stylish rear fascia.
BMW will launch the new 5 with a family of gasoline and diesel engines that meet Euro 7 standards, and
all have electric power.
There should also be a plug-in hybrid powertrain, and there are rumors that a M Performance Plug in
Hybrid Electric Vehicle with a total output of 565 horsepower is in the works.
Hi, welcome back to Namcar Channel. In this video we are going to discuss about the new 2024 BMW 5
Series, and will it be electric vehicle or Plug in Hybrid?
The next-generation BMW 5 Series has a chassis code, G60, that is only known to BMW. It will come in
three different styles, just like the next 7 Series.
With its swept-back headlights that aren't split and normal-sized kidney grille, it's more like an evolution
than a revolution.
There are also door handles that are flush with the door and three-dimensional taillights.
The shark's nose stands out on the front, and it stands out even more next to the Series 3. For an old
BMW car, this is a big setback.
The 2024 BMW 5 Series will definitely have the most up-to-date technology inside.
The new 5 Series is likely to have a curved display on the iX that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument
cluster with a 14.9-inch infotainment system.
It will have the new BMW Operating System 8 and the most up to date ADAS, which will let it drive itself
in some situations.
BMW's classic style is a three-bar design and a flat shape, but this steering wheel looks like it has piano
black touch-sensitive buttons, like the Volkswagen Golf Mk8,
instead of the matte buttons that are on BMW's current steering wheels.
There is also a metal volume and cruise control dial that looks like the one on the BMW iX. The media
dial on the right side looks a lot like the scroll wheel on the Tesla Model 3.
And the most recent comfort and technology features since this is still a business car.
The plug-in hybrid version will combine a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with one or two
electric motors to make up to 500 horsepower or 373 Kilowatt of power.
Lastly, the first fully electric-powered M car that will replace the M5 will reportedly use a plug-in hybrid
that combines a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with an electric motor.
This will give it close to 750 hp and 559 kilowatts. and acceleration numbers that are on par with
supercars.
With an anticipated introduction as a 2024 model, the new 5 Series is likely to make its first public
appearance at the end of 2023.
By then, we will almost certainly know a lot more about how the model works.
We think that the G60 5 Series will have a design language that is a bit more reminiscent of BMWs from
the 1960s to the 1980s. This could be a nice step toward a more retro-futuristic design in the future.
One thing is for sure: the BMW 5 Series will still be around, at least for another generation.
