Sika® Schalöl
Formwork release agent

Product Sika Schalöl is a ready to use, solvent free concrete release agent, based on a
mineral oil. It is designed to act as a bond breaker between formwork or molds and
description freshly concrete.
Uses Sika Schlöl can be used as a general purpose release agent for absorbent and
smooth nonabsorbent formworks and can be applied on sites and in precast plants

Easy and precise separation of the formwork from the hardened concrete
Concrete residue can be easy removed from the formwork
Protects the formwork against wearing
Impregnation of the formwork by repeated usage
Contains no paraffin, grease and ordinary release agents and therefore no
staining of the concrete surfaces
Weather resistance in desiccated state
Extremely stable during placement and vibration of concrete
Does not stain or contaminate the finished concrete surface

Instructions for use Sika Schalöl is supplied ready to use and should not be diluted. The optimum
method of application is by conventional spray equipment, however, a brush or
roller can be used.
Sika Schalöl should be applied at the recommended coverage rate to obtain a thin

and even film over the entire surface of the mold or formwork.
Any excess liquid remaining on the surface after application should be mopped off.
Treated formwork should not be left exposed to weathering or dust accumulation for
long periods.
The mold should be clean.
Before concreting, preliminary tests are recommended to optimize the procedure.
