For the migration from V2 to V3, the following order items are required, depending
on whether CLS Connect, UC Suite or external CSTA applications are used:

Upgrade the existing system to SW version V2R7 (minimum requirement for CLS connect)
2. Generate license file at the CLS
Rehost the existing licenses from the MAC address of the V2 mainboard to the MAC address of the V3
mainboard using the "Regenerate" function.
3. Create a complete backup of the V2 system
4. Mainboard exchange
Shut down the system and switch off the power supply
Exchange the V2 MB with the V3 MB (equipped with the SATA and optional NVMe card, and optional OCCB
card) and switch on power supply. The system will boot.
5. Restore the system configuration after system startup.
Restore the V2 Backup in the system.
Import the new generated license file in the system

Upgrading an OpenScape Business network to V3
When migrating or upgrading an OpenScape Business network, all nodes in the
network must be upgraded to SW version V3.
For the networking functions it is irrelevant whether the SW version V3 is operated on
an OpenScape Business X system in the network with a V2 mainboard or with a V3
mainboard.
The upgrade must be performed separately for each OpenScape Business node of the
network.

At the Central License Server (CLS) there is a central network license file for the
Master Node of the network. The so called network CLA.
The CLS Connect function is activated in the Master Node. CLS Connect cannot
be activated in the slave nodes.

Preparation of the existing OCCL
Update to the latest V2R7 bind.

Unplug the IVM cards, clear the card slots and remove the IVM
configuration from system.
Make sure that the ports at range 511 532 are not configured. These ports
will be reserved by SmartVM on OCCL.
Create a complete V2 backup set and save it on your PC.
In case the OCC is connected with a Booster Server
This also needs to be updated to the latest V2R7 bind

Preparation steps on the new OCCLA
Install the new Mainboard

Switch to appropriate system operation mode (UCSuite or UCSmart)
Restore the V2 backup using the HTTPS option.
Depending on the usage of a booster server, a second backup needs to be
restored immediately after the first one
Change the UC clients IP address configuration.
No special handling is needed for systems in network. The migration
should be handled as a usual system update.
