Este verbo necesita auxiliar para preguntar y negar.

con on y no con at.

• La fecha se puede decir de dos maneras: 1st of January o January, 1.


• En el Reino Unido se escribe como en Europa: 31/12/2020 pero en Estados Unidos
lo normal es mm/dd/aaaa: 12/31/2020.

Es fundamental mantener un orden al colocar las palabras en una frase:


SUJETO + VERBO + COMPLEMENTOS
En ese sentido la lengua inglesa no es tan flexible como el castellano.
Hay algunas excepciones como cuando damos órdenes:

• The imperative tense in English

Nunca utilizamos sujeto en las frases imperativas:

Open the door !( no sería correcto decir: “You open the door”)
Don’t open the door! Si queremos dar una orden negativa.
