Today, I willl be
reciting our University, Mindanao State University's Vision and Mission and of the King Faisal Center for Islamic,
Arabic and Asian Studies' as well. BISMILLAH!

VISION

MSU System aspires to be a Center of Excellence in Instruction, Research and Extension transforming itself into a
premier and globally competitive national peace university.

MSSION

MSU System is committed to:

1. Lead in social transformation through peace education and integration of the Muslims and

other cultural minority groups into the mainstream society;

2. Ensure excellence in instruction, research and development, innovation, extension, and environmental
education and discovery;

3. Advance national and international linkages through collaborations and,

4. Demonstrate greater excellence, relevance, and inclusiveness for Mindanao and the

Filipino nation.

KING FAISAL CENTER FOR ISLAMIC, ARABIC AND ASIAN STUDIES

VISION

The KFCIAAS not only seeks to propagate the idea of balanced development of man through integrated knowledge
but also aspires to serve as the soul and conscience of the Mindanao State University.

MISSION

The creation of the KFCIAAS is premised on the philosophy of the total development of man--the moulding of an
insano al-kamil (real man) or a homo Islamicus (Muslim Men). These are men and women who are completely
submissive to the Will and Laws of their Creator and are able to balance their material progress with their spiritual
and moral standard. Men who are imbued with the necessary Islamic qualities and virtues and are scientifically and
technically competent.
