Q2: Explain clearly the basics of environmental management in
accordance with environment management tools.
• First, we should look what mean by the words ‘environment’ and
‘environmental management’.
The word environment: is used in different ways. We talk of the home
environment, the work environment’, the social environment.
We use the word to describe our physical surroundings, made up of air,
trees, grass.
Environmental management: is responsible to human actions
considering the increasing seriousness and significance of today is
desirous human impact on natural ecosystem.

i. Cleanness production: also sometimes called pollution
prevention is continuous application of an integrated
preventive environment strategy to process, products and
service to increase overall efficiency and reduce risks to
human and the environment.

ii. Municipal solid waste: is defined as waste collected by the


municipality or disposed of at the municipal waste disposal
site and include residential industrial institutional,
commercial, and municipal, construction, and demolition.

iii. Waste management: involves the processes of waste


collection, transportation processing, as well as waste
recycling or disposal

iv. Life cycle assessment or lacs : is methodology for assessing


environmental impacts association with all the strategy of the
life cycle of commercial product, process or service

v. Environmental impact assessment: is tool used to assess


the significance effects or project or development proposal
on environment.

vi. Environmental management: is systematic approach to


finding practical ways for saving water, energy and material
and reducing negative environment impact

vii. Landfill: is a system of trash and garbage disposal in which


the waste is buried between lays of earth.
viii. Environmental Audits: is the instrument by which an
organization can assess compliance with the company's
environmental management system, in addition to
evaluating compliance with environmental legislation of its
processes and procedures.

ix. Life cycle analysis: is a tool used to assess the potential


impact on the environment of a product, process or activity
throughout its entire life cycle by quantifying its use.

x. Environmental Impact Studies: An environmental impact


study is the analysis of the possible environmental
consequences of a human activity.

xi. Eco design or environmental design: It is understood by


eco design or environmental design, to the form of design
that can improve the environmental impact of a company.
Although reference is generally made to the design of the
product, it can also include the design of certain aspects of
the production process to manufacture the product.
