Death and Injury Compensation

Death and injuries are treated differently in this state. In case of death, the family members of

the deceased are compensated an amount equal to the wage they used to earn equivalent to

twenty-four months. However, there are critical considerations that need to be made when

doing this compensation. The amount stated earlier holds only if it is not less that $5,000 and

$10,000. Thus, these are the guidelines used the compensate the beneficiaries in case of death

and they are strictly followed. The amount is distributed to the beneficiaries according to the

provisions governing such payments to the family members. However, in case of permanent

injuries, the employee is entitled to two-thirds of what he/she used to earn before the injury

occurred.
