With the change of times and the progress of technology, video games have become the main
means of entertainment for the masses. As video games become more and more mainstream
entertainment, there are many types of video games. Violent video games like Grand Theft Auto
5, red dead redemption 2, and brothers of the four became places where people could vent after
a busy day. Many people think that violent video games are an open world which is good for

people to release the pressure of work and study. For adults it is a perfect world, but for minors
it can affect their life. The Chinese government should take this matter seriously and ban violent
games for minors. it concerns the future of China. Because violent games can increase risk of
depression in minors, make minors more aggressive and lead to lower empathy and decreased
kindness.

Thesis Statement:
The Chinese government should take this matter seriously and ban violent games for minors. it
concerns the future of China. Because violent video games can increase the risk of depression in
minors, make minors more aggressive and lead to lower empathy and decreased kindness.

Reason:
Violent video games can increase the risk of depression in minors.

Supporting Evidence:
1. Our results suggest that daily exposure to violent video games and the prevalence of
depressive symptoms in preadolescent children are related (Tortolero et.al , 2014).

Teenagers don't have to play violent video games to relieve their stress. They can also reduce
their stress through sports, going out with friends, talking to their parents and counseling.
Playing violent video games has a bad effect on the physical and mental health of minors. Violent
video games have been linked to increased rates of depression, aggression and lack of empathy
among minors. So there is no need to play violent video games to release stress.
Call to Action or Statement of Implications:
The Chinese government should ban minors from playing violent video games. Violent video
games can increase the risk of depression, make teenagers more aggressive, and make them less
empathetic. For minors, individuals should not play violent video games, for families, parents
should not play video games in front of their children to set an example for their children, and
for China, violent video games should be banned. For minors, individuals should not play violent
