This guide provides you with information on
the University’s fees for undergraduate study
in 2023-24.

subject to confirmation by the Scottish Fund-
ing Council.
All fees are in £ sterling and may be subject
to revision.

ANNUAL REVISION OF FEES


Students on programmes of study of more
than one year should be aware that tuition
fees are revised annually and may increase in
subsequent years of study. Annual increases
will generally reflect UK inflation rates and
increases to programme delivery costs.

* Fees for students domiciled in Scotland are subject to confirmation by the Scottish Funding Council.
**Scottish undergraduate students undertaking an exchange for a semester/year will continue to pay their normal tuition
fees at Strathclyde and will not be charged fees by the overseas institution.

* Assuming no change in RUK fees policy over the period, the total amount payable by undergraduate students will be
capped. For students commencing study in 2023-24, this is capped at £27,750 (with the exception of the MPharm and
integrated Masters programmes). MPharm students pay £9,250 for each of the four years. Students studying on integrated
Masters degree programmes pay an additional £9,250 for the Masters year with the exception of those undertaking a full-year
industrial placement where a separate placement fee will apply.

** All students on undergraduate Architecture programmes will pay the same fee rate as Scottish students for the compulsory
placement year (see first table).

BEng in Chemical Engineering by Distance Learning


Per year, as a graduating student registered as undertaking the full degree

This programme is designed for students with relevant prior education and experience. Currently, we offer two possible entry
points for part-time, distance learning students, with advanced entry at Year 4 or Year 5 of the programme.
Students joining the programme in Year 4 receive 180 academic credits in recognition of their prior learning and relevant
industry experience.
Students joining the programme in Year 5 receive 240 academic credits in recognition of their prior learning and relevant
industry experience.

General notes to Undergraduate fees

1. Exceptions to standard fees listed are correct at the time of


publication. However, you should check the fee level applicable to
your programme of study at the time of your admission.

2. Fees quoted are for new entrants and continuing students. However,
different fees may apply to some continuing students and details can
be obtained from Student Business.

3. Students who have received an appropriate progress decision from


the Board of Examiners to sit degree examinations must register for
the examinations at the normal registration period at the beginning of
the session and pay the appropriate fee (if applicable).
