The Ultraguard barrier is simple to use and to erect. Can be used in conjunction
with other RMD Kwikform ranges i.e. Rapidshor, Kwikstage. The barrier itself
complies with the latest European standards for Temporary Edge Protection
Systems (Classification A) to EN 13374:2004.

The Ultraguard 3150mm barrier is used in conjunction with the Airodek
Drophead Deck Beam System. This provides a guard barrier adjacent to the slab
stop end formwork.
The barrier itself complies with the latest European standards for Temporary
Edge Protection Systems (Classification A) EN 13374:2004.

1.3 Ultraguard Slab Socket Base (SAX10001 –

This socket can be fixed to the concrete slab in two ways, either using a
‘sacrificial’ HKD-S M16 Socket Anchor (FAU10101) with M16 x 40mm HT Setpin
(BNU16007) or an M16 Excalibur Bolt (FAU10054). Maximum spacing of
2500mm centre to centre

Note: The M16 Excalibur are not left in the concrete after use and bolts can be
reused several times, depending on the strength of the concrete into which they
are being installed.

1.4 Ultraguard Handrail Post 1200mm (SAX11200
– 04403) weight 2.2Kg
The post has an ‘easy fit’ socket connection that is used
throughout the Ultraguard range of components. The anti-lift plate
is pressed by the toe of the boot, then it slides down the tube and
wedges itself over the kicking strip. For lightness the tube is made
from aluminum, the anti-lift plate made from steel for strength and
durability.

1.6 Alu Ext Beam Bracket (SAX10015 – 4412)

Used on falsework on primary beams where the secondary beam height is
150mm to 165mm high. Again attached to the top flange of the aluminum beam
and supports widths of up to 100mm. Takes a standard Ø48.3mm scaffold tube
as well as the 1200mm Post (SAX11200). It is secured using an integral captive
wing nut arrangement onto any Alsec, Alform or Albeam.

1.8 Ultraguard Slab Edge Clamp (SAX10002 –

Used to fix the Ultraguard Post and Barrier to the edge of a concrete slab and
parapets to a maximum thickness of 650mm. The clamp is set to approximately
the size of the slab via the movable foot on the bottom, then firmly tighten onto
the slab by hand using the fine adjustment via the handle on the top of the unit.

1.9 Ultraguard Steel Beam Clamp 914mm
(SAX10003 – 4407) weight 17.46Kg
Used to fix the Ultraguard Post and Barrier to the common size range of Steel
Beams. Simple to adjust with the two screwthreads. Clamp is set roughly to the
size of the beam flange then tightened in-situ, via the jack handle on the
horizontal clamp and a podger bar for the vertical socket. It has fine vertical and
horizontal adjustment to accommodate beam sizes up to a 914 x 419mm.
