How to F2P

State of Survival is a free to download game. But, there are in-game bundles used for
boosting players progress. Also, some of the in-game achievements, like maximum plasma
buildings are hard to obtain as a free to play player. In this guide, we will explain to you how
to be a better free to play player!

Free to play (F2P) are people who do not invest real money into the game. Their progress
might be observed as slower regarding the HQ's improvement and other in-game upgrades.
For being a F2P, the first thing you need to do is: spend no money in the game!

After completing the first step, we need to divide F2P development into 3 parts!

1. Earning Valuable Items

Earning valuable items means to get the most useful items for a F2P whenever it is possible.
To give a couple examples for this, just see below.

● Obtaining all stage rewards, therefore earning the free legendary hero fragments
and plasma from the SOTF Bloodsport and SVS Preparation Events.

● Obtaining biocaps rewards at events and considering if the last stage rewards, after
obtaining the biocaps, is worth using more objects from backpack (If applicable).

● Participating in the Reservoir Raid, Influencer Trap, Infected Horde, Alliance

Throwdown and choosing the best strategy as rally filler for RR! (This can be
expanded as, to use free marching speedups inside RR, sending your troops to
garrison other bigger buildings to have more water points per minute, joining the
rallies against enemy buildings and settlements, hitting enemy alliance water tank
tiles, not using biocaps for speeding the troops marching time etc.)

● For Alliance Throwdown, it should be focused in your mind to take the daily free
task slot on each reset and take the 50 biocaps x 3 slots if applicable. (And if you do
try to use them all) Additionally, exclusive tasks should be refreshed until some
easy, not speedup or gear related tasks come out! In addition, there will be 48 hour
events running at the same time as the alliance throwdown, and while trying to
increase score for those events, taking the applicable tasks for throwdown at the
same time might allow you to have a lot higher ranks for both events without extra
item usage!

● 48 Hour Events are events that continuously show up after game reset, if the
previous one is finished. Especially when using your valuable materials, have a quick
look if you can score with the same material on more than one event at the same
time! Most of the time, 48 Hour Events become easily completable with the main
events showing up at the same period. For example, if it was a hero gear/set design
usage then you will possibly see hero gear tasks showing up in your alliance
throwdown exclusive rewards (If those two had the same interval at that time). Also,
be careful when custom crate bundles start showing up. Due to those bundles
providing a good amount of in-game items, some spenders may easily pass your
points, if you are attempting to go for top ranks, by buying those bundles during a 48
Hour Event!

● Influencer trap is an event that should not to be missed by any F2Ps. It should be
kept in mind, as a trap reward approximately gives 10USD worth of bundle items to
everyone participating, once every 47 hours. (Though, most of the alliances make it
either once every 2 days, at the same time; or 3 times per a week, with rotating
times).

● Activating VIP benefits and obtaining daily free VIP Crate Rewards! Those rewards
are valuable due to the chief experience tags it gives (Chief experience tags can also
be farmed with plague zone mobs. Those mobs have 2-4 x 20 Chief Experience Tag
drop chance). Those chief experience tags will be your best companion until your
chief hits level 60! Also, starting from VIP7, VIP daily crates will have at least 1 daily
free general legendary hero fragment! And the VIP Benefits of VIP8 and up will have
1 additional marching slot! (Benefits and daily VIP rewards can only be obtained if
the VIP activated)

● Economy talents in chief talents! Even though your chief hasn’t reached max level
yet, you can still have some noticeable boosts by chief talents! The rapid growth
skill could be given as an example for that! (Which temporarily provides an extra
20% free boost on research and construction speed!)

● War Talents in chief talents will be for providing a huge boost on training speed! You
need to achieve chief level 52 for starting to give points as early as possible and 55
to max it, with the utilized point distribution! Keep in mind that training speed can only
be boosted with research lab, chief talents and training camps!

2. Hoarding Items

Due to being a free to play player, earning items will not be your solution to have more
rewards by using what you have already gained! The hoarding stands for scoring higher
ranks during the events! Those can vary depending on your choice. And this choice should
be given on “What to be expected to be gained!" For example:

● Scoring high solo rankings inside alliance throwdown can give you legendary general
hero fragments

● Scoring high solo rankings inside SOTF events can give you legendary hero
fragments with the last generation of hero available in your state. But do not forget, it
will be one of the 3 types of heroes. (Every next generation of heroes will be different
than what type you had earlier)

● SOTF Bloodsport - SVS events to earn some plasmas with one of the last generation
legendary hero fragments

● Seasonal events (HQ Skin Events) for having a chance to obtain a free permanent
HQ skin, along with some legendary fragments and biocaps!

3. Using / Wasting the Items

Using the collected and hoarded items in bulk amounts provides a noticeable boost on the
decided event’s ranking.

The main purpose of hoarding items is having a boost per each 3-6 months depending on
your state’s activity. In most of the older states, an F2P player can easily get top rankings
within 4 months of hoarding “all items” from various events.

For example you can collect plasma for 3 months and decide to consume all in a single
week of SOTF to get a top rank and rewards in this event. This is a matter of patience.

Do not waste your biocaps on

● Instant upgrades
● State megaphones
● Advanced TP’s
● Instant troop healing
● Daily store offers (If they don't have 70% discount)
● Biocaps store, and market stall. (Market stall is another guide. Please check market
stall guide to understand how to make a good use of it)
● To speedup your march
● To rename your chief

Do not waste your general speedups on;

● Troop training, if your research lab is not maxed yet
● Troop healing, if it is not a life or death matter

In addition to all of the above, joining an alliance would give you extra benefits. For example,
to enter reservoir raid, reservoir league, alliance showdown, infected horde, setting rallies to
anything, you are required to be inside of an alliance. Do not forget, that if your alliance is
better on both activity and spending in-game items (with real money) your progress will be
hastened! Most of the bundles in-game give an ally crate along with it, so the other members
inside of the same alliance can profit from it, and so is the person themself! (An ally crate of
level V can give you above 1,000 biocaps at a time!)

As an F2P, re-building an army will be expensive. And if you cannot meet that cost with your
bank account, then it will be with your time. That depends on each player's unique play
styles, but an F2P should consider saving it’s troops at all costs. Attacking a player might be
giving a load of resources for your further progress. But, what if you lose that attack? Do you
have enough “extra” training speedups to recover your loss?
If not, try to stay more defensive. The gap between an F2P and P2P will go only higher. You
have been warned!

That might be a clause to change and vary depending on your state activity and rankings in
those events! Being an F2P has nearly an equal meaning of “Being an item hoarder”!
