This is one of those lessons which you might want to consider revisiting later as you will need to actually have content live on your site to link to - something which you might not necessarily have yet. A Brief Overview Internal links are those which link from one page on your site to anather page on your site. The visitor doesn't leave your domain but can check out other content. If you're revisiting this lesson after setting up your initial content, you can refer back to this to work out what needs to be linked and where. Having this database is extremely beneficial because you can easily identify what articles you have on your site and work out exactly where your opportunities lie. So with this in hand, first decide which article you're trying to push. Perhaps it's a page that is almost on Page 1 or struggling to break the top 3 in Google. We can then look at which other pages we can insert a relevant link to it. For example, perhaps our article on Wet or Dry Dog food article could use a boost. It would be pretty easy to talk about Wet and Dry dog food in our article about Dry dog food expiry dates. Identifying Opportunities With Google So using your content database is one option, but its fairly low tech. Fortunately, there are other options.
