Summary

Electrochemistry is becoming increasingly important as our need for harnessing

and storing energy may be a determining factor in extending human life on earth as we
know it (EET, 2017). An experiment was carried out with the help of an EMF Measurement
Simulator to collect the data required to fill in the allocated tables and the requisite values
to solve the given challenge. An EMF Measurement Simulator was used in the
experiment to get the data needed to fill in the assigned tables and find the values needed
to solve the problem. Based on calculations, the theoretical emf was identified on the
formulas for cell potential, Ecell and E°cell. The solute was at a 1 M concentration under
normal conditions. On the other hand, the electrolyte solution concentrations were. They
were used to construct the Cu2/Cu and were altered and delivered under unusual
circumstances, and Ag/Ag galvanic cells. Calculations based on the resulted in the
theoretical emf being found. Ecell and E°cell formulas represent cell potential. In addition,
the formula E°cell = E°cathode E°anode. was used, as opposed to the Nernst, to
determine the cell potential of the galvanic cell under normal circumstances. For non-
standard circumstances, we used the equation E = E°cell - RT/nF ln Q. additionally, the.
By dividing the gap between the experimental and, the percentage error was determined.
multiplied by 100 and divided by the theoretical data. Finally, the team displayed the. data
on theoretical, experimental, and percentage errorsderived from table calculations
