Privateer Press Grandmaster Painting Competition

Your entry can fall under one of the following five descriptions:
● Warjack / Warbeast - A single light or heavy Warjack or Warbeast
● Warrior Model - A single trooper, solo warlock, or warcaster.
● Battlegroup - A warcaster and 2-5 warjacks or a warlock and 2-5 warbeasts,
no troops or solos
● Unit / Small group - A unit comprised of no less than the minimum number
of allowed models and no more than the maximum number of allowed
models. Unit attachments and Special Weapon Attachments may be included.
● Diorama – A scene of the Iron Kingdoms, made up of components that do not
exceed 12” wide,by 12” inches tall, by 12” deep.

Winners from each of the five categories will win $200.00!

The Grand Master will win $1000 US for the grand prize in addition to the
$200 First Place prize for the category that qualified them, for a total of $1200 US.

Fill out an entry form at our booth and drop off your entries on Thursday and
Friday starting at 1:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. All entries must
be received by Saturday 8/12/2006 at 11:00 AM. Winners will be announced Saturday
8/12/2006, at 5:00 PM in the Privateer Press booth.

All contestants must read and agree pages 2 and 3 of this entry form in order to
compete. Contestants agree to the rules stated on pages 2 and 3 by entering this contest.

Specific Rules
• All entries must be Privateer Press miniatures. Conversions and scratch building is allowed- but must be
within the scope and atmosphere of the Iron Kingdoms game world and either scratch built or parts from
Privateer Press models. Third party parts are not permitted.
• All entries must be modeled and painted by the person entering. The person entering must hand in the
miniatures themselves at the specified time. Entries must also be collected from the display area at the
specified time, any entries that are not collected by the end of the show automatically become the property
of Privateer Press.
• All entries must be accompanied by the appropriate entry form - this must be filled out correctly and
clearly. Competitors will be issued a numbered ticket when they have handed in their miniatures. In order
to collect their miniatures at the end of the show, they must present this ticket, along with valid ID in order
to get their miniatures back.
• Competitors can only enter categories once, though they can enter as many of the categories as they
choose.
• All entries must be presented on the appropriate size base for which the model was designed, but extra
scenic details may be added
• While every care possible will be taken with the entries - the miniatures are entirely at the risk of the
competitor. Privateer Press will not be responsible for any damage or loss that might occur while the
miniatures are in their care.
• Privateer Press has the right to photograph and to publish miniatures photographs on the web or in print.
• Privateer Press reserves the right to refuse entry to any competitor, with or without cause. Privateer Press
staff and staff family members are not eligible to enter.
• Cash winnings subject to all state, local, and federal laws.
• The judges’ decisions are final in all cases.

General Contest Rules
Privateer Press Inc. (herein known as Privateer), requires that no purchase is necessary for entry.

Contest and promotions are not open to Privateer Press Inc. Employees, its subsidiaries and agents, employees of co-
sponsoring participants in various contests, employees and co-sponsoring participants immediate family members,
employees and co-sponsoring participants household members, all prior Privateer Press Inc. employees or sponsor
employees.

When a contest or promotion requires on-site registration, all entries must be completed, by hand, at the registration
point. Entry blanks may not be removed from the registration site and returned later. Participants may enter once per
event. Anyone found entering more than once will be disqualified.

All contest participants must be at least 18 years of age or in some cases 21 years of age. If a minor wins a Privateer
contest or promotion, then in that case the prize may be awarded in the name of a parent or legal.

Valid state identification (ex. Driver's License) is required to claim a prize or participate in any contest or promotion
with Privateer. In order to claim prize(s), winners will be required to show proof of identity and may be required to
execute an affidavit of eligibility release/prize acceptance form and a W-9 tax form.

Contestants must use their true, legal name and address when participating in a Privateer contest or promotion or they
will be disqualified and prize forfeited.

Privateer will designate judges for each promotion or contest, in the absence of a specific judge named an employed
representative of Privateer will be chosen. These contest judges will determine the winner(s) in all contests and
promotions. All decisions made by the designated judges are final. By participating, contestants agree to be bound by
all contest rules and the decisions of the judges.

Privateer will not responsible for lost, delayed, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible or postage-due/mail entries,
equipment failures, technical problems, human errors or acts of God or Thamar.

Participants waive any and all claims of liability against Privateer, contest sponsors, their affiliates, employees, agents,
their families and members of their households from any accident, loss, and/or injury occurring as a result or
consequence of contestants' participation in contests or promotions and/or winners' acceptance or use of prises awarded
such contests and promotions.

Winners assume any and all tax liabilities that may be applicable and related to claiming of prizes over a certain value.
In other words, contests and promotions are subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and are void where
prohibited or restricted by law.

Privateer will issue a 1099 tax form for all prizes valued at $600.00 or more including multiple cash prizes to the same
winner adding up to $600.00 or more over the course of a given year. By claiming prize(s), winner agrees to accept the
estimate of fair market value placed on the prize(s).

All prizes must be picked up during the duration of the event unless otherwise arranged by a judging official and/or
authorized Privateer employees. Other arraignments must be made in written form and left with Privateer employee.
Winners failing to receive their prizes at the corresponding times will result in a new winner being chosen.

Privateer reserves the right to substitute prize(s) of equal or greater value.

Winner(s) are solely responsible for insurance (when required), other prize-related expenses as may be specified,
gratuities, and all applicable federal, state and local taxes.

All participants upon entry give Privateer Press the sole rights to all photographic and video recordings from; the event,
figurines and participants themselves in name, image, character, likeness, voice, entry and the fact that he/she
participated in and/or won the contest. There will be no additional compensation. Privateer may use these pictures at
any time of their choosing for any purpose they deem applicable.
