About Tikona Infinet Pvt Ltd

Tikona Infinet Pvt Ltd. (TIKONA) was founded with the business objective of providing
Broadband and Internet application services to Enterprises, government institutions,
homes, societies, individuals as well as other service providers. TIKONA is building a Next
Generation Broadband network supplemented by a leading edge IT enabled services and
(information, communications and entertainment) ICE application services framework. The
project is adequately funded and backed up by commitment from strong financial
investors of international repute.

The broad strategy is to create a service differentiation through superior customer

experience by developing tailored solutions for each customer segment viz; home, public
access, SMB, Enterprise, Government, etc.

TIKONA will offer a complete range of services including Office Networking, Messaging,
Security, Storage, Data Centre services, Content and Enterprise Application services in
addition to Internet.

The Company has already been awarded the Category A, Internet Service Providers License
by the Department of Telecommunications.

TIKONA’s initial Plan is to launch services in top 200 cities within 2 years from launch,
with a capacity of over 3 million Broadband customers. Thereafter the rollout may extend
to more towns based on the growing market needs.

Tikona has been founded by prominent veterans in telecom industry and is headed by
Prakash Bajpai. Tikona leadership team is one of the few in India with the experience,
relationships, and technical expertise to execute a project of this scale.

Direct To Office Internet (DTO)

Tikona recognizes the importance of Internet in business today. Business transactions are
seriously impaired if Internet connectivity is down even for a short time.

Business Continuity

DTO addresses Enterprise concern of overall Internet uptime. Take the case of existing
Internet connection delivered through Wireline. In case the connection goes down, 100%
uptime can still be achieved through Direct to Office Internet.

Tikona DTO offers Media Diversity over wireless. Infrastructure is on the rise in India and a
myriad of utilities dig up the roads on a regular basis for different reasons. This
inadvertently leads to fibre or cable cuts which affect Internet connections. Tikona
provides an alternate last mile media over wireless which means even if the wireline
connection is down, the Internet is still up. Tikona can also provide an Ethernet WAN Load
Balancer to do an auto switchover between the links.

Tikona offers Service provider redundancy. All Internet service providers use different
routes to get on to the World Wide Web. Hence, in case there is a problem with the
gateway level connectivity with the existing service provider, Tikona can provide effective
redundancy.

At present, delivering Internet over wire to an Enterprise takes a significant amount of

time. Some times, long delays (six months or more) are inevitable for the delivery (wires
to reach the building premise). This is primarily due to long time required for digging the
roads, ROW permissions and in-building wiring. Even after a long wait there is no

Differentiated Access
Moving away from the dumb pipe concept, Tikona has changed the way broadband is
delivered to enterprises in the future.

Tikona recognizes that the internet needs of each employee or departments vary. Hence
traditional Internet which delivers the same bandwidth to employee irrespective of their
role or need is not the best solution.

“Differentiated Access” delivers cloud based Internet to their office wherein the speed
delivered to an employee / group can be defined as per their needs.

Differentiated Internet Access is reliable and backed by a network engineered to deliver

on the committed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

Differentiated Access is delivered through normal Leased Line delivery. However instead
of buying bulk bandwidth, one can choose to buy per user bandwidth. This is almost like
having a broadband connection for each of the employee with defined contention.

Differentiated access allows one to choose from three types of users:

1. Heavy users: Users who need dedicated bandwidth (1:1)

2. Medium users: Users who can share bandwidth with a small pool of users (1:4)

3. Light users: Users who can share bandwidth with a large pool of users (1:8)

Speeds for above user types are available from 512 kbps, 1 Mbps, 2 Mbps and 4 Mbps

For example, one can allocate a speed of 2 Mbps 1:1 for the IT admin department whose
needs are to download software (heavy user) and other updates imperative for the
business and allocate 512 kbps (1:8) for normal employee who is not a heavy user.

Payment Terms:
 Quarterly payments of the Annual Recurring Charges as above is payable as
Advance before the start of the Billing period.
 Advance payment of OTC and the 1st tranche of ARC is payable along with the Purchase Order to enable
TIKONA to log the PO in the system and begin the installation work.

Taxes and Duties:

 The above charges are exclusive of all Taxes and Duties.

 All applicable taxes, duties and other levies will be charged extra at the time of billing at the
rates prevailing at that time.

Terms and Conditions

1. The offer is valid for a period of 15 days starting from the date of receipt of the proposal.
2. Tikona will be responsible for managing the link up to Customers routers WAN port only.
3. Beyond 3 mtrs tower, each mtr will be charged Rs.3,000/- as OTC
4. Service is delivered on Static IP. One Static IP is bundled free of cost. Additional Static IPs will be
charged extra at the rate of Rs. 1,500 per Static IP per annum.
5. Additional Static IP requests should be accompanied by justification for the use of the
Static IP.
6. Static IP can be provided in groups of 4, 8 and 16 only. Usable Static IPs in each group will be 1, 5 and
13 respectively.
7. The terms and conditions mentioned here are in addition to the terms mentioned in the
Service Request Form (SRF).
8. Tikona Infinet Ltd exercises no control over and accepts no responsibility for the content of the
information passing through the Network, CPE, Service Equipment, or a Service. Tikona Infinet Ltd
specifically denies any responsibility for the accuracy or quality of information obtained through the
Network, CPE, Service Equipment, or a Service. Use of any information obtained via the Network,
CPE, Service Equipment, or a Service is at Customers own risk. Customer shall promptly and
thoroughly respond to any notices forwarded to Customer by Tikona Infinet Ltd, including, but not
limited to notices that Customer content violates the Applicable Law.
9. The Customer shall use the Service in accordance with Tikona Infinet Ltd Internet Acceptable Use
Policy (the Acceptable Use Policy). The Acceptable Use Policy shall mean the current version of
Tikona Infinet Ltd Acceptable Use Policy (as may be changed by Tikona Infinet Ltd from time to time)
applicable to the countries in which Customer uses a Service (and in the event no policy exists for a
country, then the policy as per the Applicable Law shall apply).
10. The service is delivered by providing equipment mounted on the terrace, window sill, balcony etc.
Unfettered access to TIKONA’s representative / contractor will be required at the time of installation /
service maintenance.
11. Charges are exclusive of all applicable Taxes.
12. The Service Contract Period shall be a minimum committed subscription period of one (1)
Year.
13. The system can be delivered within 6-8 weeks of receipt of clear and unconditional
Purchase Order along with the Advance cheque and successful feasibility survey.
14. Payment Terms - Tikona Infinet Pvt Ltd shall raise invoices in advance and the Charges billed to
Customer shall be payable as per plan terms within 7 days of presentation of the invoice.
15. This offer overrides all earlier offers and correspondences submitted till date.
