Hello Robert!
Thanks very much for your letter. I can't wait to see you, as well!
My flight arrives (+is due to arrive) at 10:30 a. m. I would be grateful if you
could meet meat the airport. It is my first time in London, so I don't know this city at
all. But I have read a lot of books about the capital of Great Britain.
It should be easy for you to recognize me! I haven't become taller since our last
meeting, but I have got shorter hair now. Also, I'll be wearing brown jeans and a
white shirt. Moreover, you can recognize me by the hat. It is painted in coloUrs of the
Ukrainian flag which is yellow and blue. I've decided not to take much luggage. So,
I'll only have a backpack with me.
As you know, I've been keen to visit London for ages! I'll be there only for a
week. But I'd like to see as much as I can. To be honest, I know a lot of historical
places of Great Britain that are located in London. For example, I hope I will visit St.
Paul's Cathedral which is one of the fines Renaissance buildings in the world. Also, it
would be a great idea if I could have an excursion to the Nelson's Column. This
monument is situated in the centre of Trafalgar Square and attracts many tourists
from foreign countries. Besides, I'd like to visit Baker Street where the detective
novel about Sherlock Holmes took place and the museum of Harry Potter. What's
more I'm a fan of local football team "Chelsea". I've been dreaming of visiting their
match since I was ten years old. Furthermore, I'm sure that you have many other
ideas for us to implement.
I'd really like to bring your parents a gift to thank for their hospitality. Do you
have any offers? What about a big pack of coffee beans with a flavoUr of chocolate
from Lviv or maybe a book about my native city?

Shopping on the Internet has both advantages and disadvantages

Owing to increasing popularity and accessibility of the high-speed Internet

connection online shopping has skyrocketed in the recent years. In my opinion, the
advantages of buying product on the Internet undermine its negative sides because
the modern technology can save a great deal of time and give interesting options for
sellers and buyers.
 Firstly, online shopping via different websites and apps is more economical.
The main reason behind this is that the vendors do not have to put up with additional
expenses of renting a spacious store and paying salary to a shop assistant. So, the
sellers not only have an opportunity to save the profit and increase it, but also set an
affordable price for the goods. Secondly, shopping on the Internet is very convenient
(creates the conductive environment) for people who are extremely busy with their
job, because everyone can purchase while sitting in the office or at home and have
access to a wide range of items available at the tap of a button. Online stores such as
Amazon or Flipkart provide various types of one product to choose from. For
instance, you can select the coloUr, material, size, shape or even the trademark of the
particular item.
However, buying goods and services online has some drawbacks, which cannot
be ignored. The prominent one is that the customers are unable to purchase
something instantaneously. Furthermore, the client ought to wait for several days for
its delivery. Moreover, the quality of products that are offered via the Internet
sometimes is very poor. To set an example, you may have received broken or faulty
items on online purchases.
To sum up, the disadvantages of shopping on the Internet are overshadowed by
the benefits from the high-tech development of today's world. To my mind, e-
commerce trend is extremely appreciated by the people who do like buying things
and services with just a click.
