PHONETICS AND PHONOLOGY

Phonetics and phonology is important to be able to make words, phrases and sentences with
meaning, when talking about education it is more than important to make the correct use of these
to be coherent and to be able to have good communication with students and with external
people. In the class of phonetics and phonology I could observe the importance of these sounds
and apart from the sounds we could know the symbols, it is important to see the difference of
each symbol and how it sounds as these are divided into different branches

The process of learning and understanding each sound is very important to us because if we do
not see the differences we can misunderstand a message, have bad communication with someone
or can affect us in the future phonemes are the basis of language are the minimum articulation of
a sound, in the whole world it is very important because it is included in all the languages of the
world, muscle work to emit the sounds of speech is in different and unique in each country for
example the sound of the r is different in each country. The voice only plays the sounds that can
be heard.

In phonetics and phonology we must differentiate the vowels, the consonants and thanks to these
we can differentiate certain words that sound similar but have a different meaning, in phonetics
and phonology you can see clear examples and short words to better understand the topic, as they
are cat, put, thing, hot etc. There are other organs that participate in phonetics and phonology like
the nose when the nasal cavities are closed so that certain letters can flow with different sound.

The phonology is the one that studies the sounds of the phonemes, among the consonants and
vocals we can find the classification in articulation as fricative, affricative, lateral among others.
Air is the one that makes the difference between sounds because for some sounds the air gets
blocked, drowns; vibrations are generated among other characteristics. In each language we find
distinctive sounds, the characteristics of these sounds depend on this matter as it is fixed in the
position of certain organs to know what they want to tell us or communicate.
EXAMPLES

Fricative: the air enters the mouth and passes rubbing, producing the sound.

/f/ /z/

Nasal: discharge occurs when part of the air comes out of the nostrils.

/m/ /n/

Lateral: air enters and grazes with the mouth.

/l/

In each language we find distinctive sounds, the characteristics of these sounds depend on this
matter as it is fixed in the position of certain organs to know what they want to tell us or
communicate these disciplines require a lot of practice because if you do not have a correct
pronunciation the goal of phonetics and phonology is not met, it is necessary to put into practice
the exercises and in some words it is necessary to exaggerate a little in the pronunciation to have
the correct concept. We have to be able to recognize the types of sounds and so we can express
ourselves in an easier way in communication.

PHONETIC APPLICATIONS

In order to be able to apply it to everyday life it is important to carry out research in order to
have a continuous advance and to be able to put it in experimentation apart from this it is
necessary to acquire knowledge about the applications that are daily. The aim of this class is to
get the students to apply what they learned about each sound in communication and society; we
also use the application of this to have good synthesis and a respective order

it is very important to develop the vocabulary correctly to reproduce sounds from different
languages, to practice phonemes you can divide the words, pronounce them repeatedly, see the
symbols and have good modulation to understand the difference between words.
CONCLUTION

Enrichment of our knowledge is something that no one can take away from us and that is why it
is so important to learn the workings of this process where we can finally classify, identify and
say anything but with a little evolution and correct handling. The phonology is the one that
studies the sounds of the phonemes, among the consonants and vocals we can find the
classification in articulation as fricative, affricative, lateral among others. Air is the one that
makes the difference between sounds because for some sounds the air gets blocked, drowns,
vibrations are generated among other characteristics.
