According to Allan Hall, senior master and professor of sports management 101, his class
notes document that the marketing mix outlines the specifics of the products and how it will be
sold. The term marketing, refers to and incorporates knowledge gained by studying the
management of exchanged relationships and is the business process of identifying, anticipating
and satisfying customers needs and wants. In general, branding is the expression of your
company's mission and values, whereas marketing is the process of increasing consumer
awareness of your brand and its products in order to increase sales. Marketing promotes
products by promoting your brand as a whole. See? They go hand in hand. Marketing and
branding both increase consumer awareness, which eventually increases revenues. Both have a
strategy in place to market a good or service. They call for a plan: Determining whether your
brand is connected to marketing or advertising requires a plan. Marketing only comes into play
after the brand has been built with a clear brand strategy in place to guide brand expression.
In conclusion, A brand is a name, term, design, symbol or any other feature that
distinguishes one seller's good or service from those of other sellers. Branding has been around
for a very long time; we can date it back to the medieval era. Essential in the success and
metamorphizing of a business to newer heights, branding is a way of creating a connecting and
strong perception of a company with its users. We can relate marketing with branding as well, as
both are ways to advertise and show ownership of intellectual property.
