PERFORMANCE OF COOLING EFFECT ON THERMO ELECTRIC
REFRIGERATION WITH PELTIER MODULE

ABSTRACT
Human efficiency and health rely on specific thermal conditions. To reach a certain
temperature range, we rely on refrigeration systems. But they are expensive, takes a lot of
space and uses a lot of energy. Hence non-traditional cooling methods have taken their place.
In recent times, non-traditional refrigeration systems are receiving increased attention in an
effort to address the drawbacks of traditional vapour compression refrigeration systems. One
of these modern methods that does not use a compressor or refrigerant is the thermoelectric
refrigeration system. The peltier module, a semiconductor device that utilises the peltier
effect, is used to create the necessary cooling effect. This states that the amount of current
supplied at the junction of two dissimilar metals is directly related to the amount of heat
absorbed per unit time. Here, for the specified current, the temperature differential between
the hot side and the cold side will remain constant. The temperature of the cold side will also
be reduced by using external sources to lower the temperature of the hot side.
In this project, thermoelectric refrigeration technique is utilized to produce cool air
