Did that painting just wink at me?

The doorbell rang.  I opened the door and saw the

postman. He gave me a package. I looked at him
confused but then remembered it was from my
great-grandma who recently died. I never knew
her- after my parents’ divorce, I didn’t keep in
touch with my dad’s side…
After a while, I decided to open the package. I
don’t know what I expected in the box but I
definitely didn’t expect to find only a painting.
Don’t get me wrong I love art- I’m even going to
an art museum tomorrow for my 18th birthday!
The painting was of 4 people- two girls and boys.
Then something happened... I dropped it in shock.
”Did the girls in the painting winked at me!?”
Was I hallucinating? I looked at it again and the
same thing happened. I needed a moment to
process that.
“There must be an explanation to this...It’s
probably a prank!” I decided to try to find who
made the painting. I removed the frame and on
the back of the drawing, I found someone’s
signature! I looked it up online and after some
time browsing the web I saw that the signature
belongs to a man named Olsen Clok. I tried to
find his address but I had no luck. The only thing
I found out was his phone number. I decided to
call it. A man's voice picked up.
-Hello? Who’s this?
-Hello, sir! Is this Olsen Clok?- I asked.
-Yes...who’s asking?
-My name is Emma Kelp... I'm phoning you
because of a painting...
The man stopped me halfway sentence-”9
Eccleston Street”- he said and hung up.
I was confused...what was up with this man...? I
felt tired so I decided to nap.
I opened my eyes and yawned. The sunshine was
warming the whole room. My phone rang- it was
my mom! She wished me a happy birthday and
we chatted for a bit. I decided to ask her about my
great-grandma but my mom told me she had to go
and hung up. Ugh, I hate excuses! If nobody will
tell me anything about her I will do it alone”- I
thought to myself. I decided to go to the address.
“I guess I'm canceling my birthday plans”- I
sighed. I packed a backpack with everything
necessary and left.
I arrived at the address.  There was only a bus
stop...it seemed creepy but I waited for the bus.
After 30 minutes the bus arrived. I boarded it- I
was the only one in it. This all seemed creepy...
It stopped near a forest. The driver said this is the
last stop so I got off. “ What am I supposed to do
now...” I wondered. I decided to go explore the
forest. When I went deep into it I found a big
house. It had a garden that was filled with dying
flowers. The building itself looked quite
depressing. It was a two-floor house and it didn't
look like anyone lived in it. I knocked on the
door...no answer. I pushed the door and it opened
with a creak. I went inside a room that looked like
a living room- everything was in dust. On top of a
shelf, I saw a picture of a lady with a man- it was
sighed R+K. This must be my great-grandma- her
name was Rosie. I thought it was her and her
husband.  Then I saw her in another picture but
this time it was with three more people- a girl and
two boys... “They looked a lot alike they must be
siblings”- I thought to myself. Then it hit me-
those were the same people in the painting I got!
So this must be my great-grandma and her
siblings...
I entered a room on the second floor. A dresser
with a mirror above it caught my attention. On
the dresser, there was a notebook labeled “Rosie’s
dairy”. I didn't want to snoop around but I
needed to know why that man sent me here.  I
opened the dairy and flipped to the last entry
which was 5 months ago.  I read it and was
shocked- I discovered that great-grandma was a
WITCH. This can't be real of course… I sat down
and decided to read the entire diary.
It’s true…Is this why my great-grandma sent me
the painting?! What do I do now!? I have an
important decision to make...do I try to find other
heirs or do I just forget all about this day and try
to live my life normally? Now that's a tough
decision to make.
