IF I KNOW, simple module………………..

Bad yet Ashamed Day
I had a bad experience. It happened last week. I woke up late because my alarm clock
didn’t ring. I got up quickly and had a shower in a hurry, and as you guess, I didn’t have
enough time to eat breakfast.
I was driving my car fast in hoping I wouldn’t be late for work, and that prevented me
from taking a good look at the traffic lights. I failed to stop when the light was red. And I was
still driving fast when suddenly a policeman on his huge motorbike overtook me and told me to
stop.
“Oh, shit!” I whispered. I pulled out.
The policeman just stopped his motorbike right in front of my car. He got down his
motorbike and approached me.
“Good morning! You ran the red light. Can I see your driving license and paper, please?”
he said as I was getting out of my car.
I tapped my back pocket trying to find my wallet where I have my driving license and
paper. But the wallet was not there. I checked my handbag in the car. It was not there either.
“Excuse me, Officer. I don’t have my wallet. I left it at home. I am in a hurry,” I said
apologetically. Of course the policeman wouldn’t listen to such excuses. He told me to get back
home and fetch the driving license and paper. He said I could leave my car there and he would
wait.
Luckily I had some money in my other pocket. I caught a public transport and went back
home. 30 minutes later I got back to my car. I showed the policeman my driving license and
paper and he gave me a ticket for running the red light and for failing to produce my driving
license and paper.
By this time I was 45 minutes late for work. I was sure my boss would be very angry. I
had to drive to my office even faster. But there was another problem; I couldn’t find my car
key. Perfect! I left my car key at home!
Cursing, again I headed back home and grabbed the damned key that was lying on the
table near the door. The public transport trip to go back to my car was slow as the driver had to
stop very often for more passengers. It took me 25 minutes to get back to my car.
When I was behind the wheel again, the time was 09.55. I was late, very late.I could see
my boss’s nasty face and could hear the words he would use to address my being late.
So I drove the rest of the trip like hell. When I arrived at my office, I was surprised. The
gate of the office was closed and I didn’t see anyone there, not even the office boy. The main
door was also closed. And that was the time I realized it was Sunday.

IF I KNOW HOW TO USE ……………….. IF IN CASE I DUNNO HOW TO USE………

``An unexpected turn of events.’’

It started off just like any other afternoon after school. I had my lunch and was watching
TV before starting on my homework. I normally started on my homework at 3pm and took my
tea break at 4.30 in the evening. That day, as I was watching TV, I heard the sound of breaking
glass. It sounded as if it came from a neighbour’s house across the road. I listened attentively.
Then, I heard the sound of utensils falling down. Then, my immediate neighbour’s dog started
barking. I sensed that something was wrong. I opened the front door and looked out at Mr
Wee’s house.
3

I thought I saw a movement in the bedroom through the window. I knew that no one
would be home and so I called out to the maid. ``kakak, kakak…. But there was no sound. By
then, the other two neighbours had joined me. When we heard the maid screaming, my
neighbour, Siva jumped over the gate and banged on the front door. Before I knew it, two men
with masks rushed out of the house with a bag and were trying to jump over the wall. I made a
tackle and brought the man down. He dropped the bag on me and ran away.

My head ached awfully and we opened the bag. Inside was a laptop and a digital camera.
The maid phoned Mr Wee and he arrived shortly. I went with Siva and Mr Wee to the police
station to make a report.
By the time the drama ended, it was already 6.30 and it was time for my Add Maths and
Physics tuition till 9.30 pm. When I got back from tuition, I had to relate the whole drama to
my brother and sister. It was only when I was getting ready for school the next day that I
realised that I had not done my Maths homework. Puan Jessie was a real tyrant. When she
walked into the class I dared not look at her. She stared at me and said,

``Muzafar, come here!’’ Expecting the worst, I dragged my feet to the front of the class. Then
she said,

``Listen, class. Muzafar here is a hero. He took the initiative to stop a thief from ransacking his
neighbour’s house. The Resident’s Association is going to give him a certificate of bravery and
neighbourliness.’’

``But… Puan Jessie, how…’’

``Muzafar, Mr Wee is my brother. He told me you had saved his laptop which contains a lot of
confidential stuff. He said you were a very brave boy. Thank you.’’ The whole class started
clapping. I was a hero. That was an unexpected turn of events.

He Will Go To Heaven
Adam was doing his homework. He stopped doing his homework. He was bored. He didn’t like
homework.
"Dad, what happens when we die?" Adam asked. "You will go to heaven," Dad said. "Does
everyone go to heaven?" Adam asked. "No, only good people go to heaven," Dad said. "What
is heaven like?" Adam asked. "It is a happy place," Dad said. "Everyone is happy. Everyone is
your friend. Everyone likes you. You like everyone." He told Adam to be polite.
He told Adam to be honest. "If you are polite and honest, you will go to heaven," Dad said.
Adam said, "I want to go to heaven. I will be polite and honest." Dad said there was one more
thing. Adam had to do one more thing to go to heaven. "What’s that?" Adam asked. "If you
want to go to heaven, you have to do your homework," Dad said.

I Love My Dad
I love my dad. He was a good man. He taught me to work hard. He taught me to keep trying.
He taught me to do things right or don’t do them at all. He grew up on the streets of New York
City.
His parents didn’t speak English. He had three brothers and one sister. His brothers ended up in
jail. His sister died in a car crash. My dad married my mom when they were both 19. My dad
joined the army. He jumped out of airplanes. Then he became a military policeman.
He did this for 20 years. He liked his job. He was a hard worker. He went to college while he
was in the army. He got two college degrees. One college degree is good. Two college degrees
is very good. He retired from the army and became a teacher. He taught high school kids.
He taught high school kids for 20 years. He had a lot of patience. Teachers need a lot of
patience. Then my dad retired. He traveled around the world with my mom. They both died in
a plane crash. That was bad. But they died together. That was good.
The Top Bunk
He and his brother slept in a bunk bed. He had the bottom bunk. His brother had the top bunk.
The top bunk had a guard rail. The rail kept the sleeper safe. His brother didn’t like the rail. He
always left it down.
One time his brother fell out of the top bunk. He hit the carpet and woke up. He said, "Ouch!"
Then he climbed back into the top bunk. When he woke up the next day, his back was sore.
Mom took him to see the doctor. The doctor examined him. The doctor said he was okay. He
said to keep the guard rail up. His brother said he would do that.
That night his brother climbed into the top bunk again. He left the guard rail down. He said the
guard rail was like jail. He didn’t want to feel like he was in jail. He fell asleep. Then he fell
out of the top bunk again.

QUICK THINKING 01

“Hey!Stop it!”I screamed as loud as I can. The thief discovered the surrounding situation
was worst and dashed away from us. My friend and i were shopping at the night market which
was multitude and deafening. We were walking and chatting about our watering dinner. There
have wide variety of mouth-watering of refreshment, main course, and desserts. After a while,
we realized an unique and unusual stall that just a stone throw away from us.
During our journey to the stall, I mentioned that there was an oddly man was following us
around 15 minutes who wear like a ‘Ninja’, black t-shirt, black trousers, black mask and black
cap. “Mike, be careful, I think we are track by someone” I whispered. We pretended to keep
going to the stall and bought our delicious food. Out of the blue, the oddly man approached us
and ready for next motion.
A possible and danger idea flashed my mind, “Is he want to steal our valuable product?” At
the meanwhile, my peripheral vision saw that his hand was reach over Mike`s back pocket and
almost came across his phone and wallet. Around 2 or 3 seconds, my brain quick thinking , I
need to shout the thief symptoms and prevent him to steal our products. ”Hey ! Stop it! Catch
the thief with clothes of all black!”
The passer-by looked over here and extended their helping hand, the thief was succeed to be
controlled by a few strong man and the guard who be responsible for this area was arrived and
take him to the police station. The passenger-by praised and hats off for our action. A thief in
the world was eliminated by us. I am very appreciated to the strangers who helped me. Hair to
them!
My friend, Mike was glad on my action because it was my quick thinking that got us out of
that situation. I kept good composure and lead my friend away from the danger. I told them that
I had to thank my mother for teaching me so well because she always said “Never stop to
observe our surrounding” which turned to be advice that saved our valuable product.

I could not sleep throughout that night. This is because I might miss the ships that passed by
the island. I was shivering in cold even it was just a gentle breeze. Never in my wildest dream
that a spectacular vacation on a cruise ship at the beginning turned out to be a nightmarish
affair.
The day before was a blissful one. I embarked on a five-day vacation trip on a cruise ship. The
vacation was amazing. The sea water was crystal clear and the sky gave its golden appeal and
the sun looked like it was sinking into the sea. As the night grew older, something different
started to appear up to the sky. The sky became darker. I went into my room and soon hit the
sack.
                “Ring, ring, ring…”
“Attention! Attention! This ship is about to sink under the sea. Abandon the ship,
now!”
A loud ringing sound woke me up from my bed and I could feel the impending danger when I
hear the announcement. Then, the ship was in topsy-turvy. I dragged myself to outside and saw
people were running as they did not know what should to do. For me, the only thing I could
remember is that a huge wave came crashing upon the ship and then everything seemed to
darken.
A light awaken me found out that I was on a beach. So, being an optimistic person, I built up a
camp near the beach. I laid upon my leaves bedding. I made a campfire and made a SOS sign
with stone near my camp. Out of the blue, an abrupt siren was heard from afar. I shouted for
my life while waving my hands up on the air.
"Hey! I'm here! On the island! Help! I'm here!"
Then, the siren became louder and louder. At that moment, I knew they had noticed me. The
rescue boats closer, slower and stopped. Unexpected, tears of joy started to drop from my eyes.
By the moment, I stepped into the rescue boot, I know that it was the time for me to back
home.

QUICK THIKING 03

It was a scorching hot day.Sam get to ride his bike to office, over cobble stone roads and
passing views of sailboats and kayakers in . Rarely do he run into crazy drivers or commuters.

But there was this one day that was different. As he was on his bike, waiting for the light to
turn red thus he could cross. He saw an oncoming car going too fast for a car approaching red
light. The driver had no intention of stopping. It all happened in slow motion. Sam saw her
texting and not paying attention. Meanwhile, he saw another car come behind him and speed
up to catch the green light. Sam instantly created a mathematical equation of distance vs speed
and realized the man was going to get T-boned by the texting driver.

Instinctively, he screamed, “Hold up!” and luckily both of the driver slammed on his breaks.
She finally saw the woman run her red light, and he appeared shaken, yet relieved after
realizing the disaster he avoided. The driver looked at Sam with thankful eyes and mouthed the
words, “Oh my God, thank you!” and then sped off, carrying about his day.

As Sam biked on, he realized he totally saved that man’s life, and maybe even the other driver
who was texting. Now… rewind to just 12 hours before.

Had he not had a crappy day prior, he would have awoken at his usual time, and missed that car
accident. He like to think that those drivers had angels, and they created a weird event in his
life in order to save theirs. Who knows. He won’t ever know, really. But he like to have faith.
QUICK THINKING 04

It was a scorching day, I stayed at home alone because my parents went out for work. My
parents instructed me to keep the house until them come back. After cleaning the house, I
enjoyed the lunch that i prepared. It's delectable, as expected I cooked it.
When I was busy to finish my homework I heard someone ring the doorbell. A strange man's
voice called out "Is anyone at home?" He was wearing a duckbill hat and holding a toolbox. He
claimed to be a plumber and he said that he was hired by my dad to fix the plumbing.
I remember my parents didn't inform me about it. Maybe they forgot? I'm about to open the
door for him. However I think it was impossible that they forgot something important. On the
other hand, I was worried that I would be scolded by my parents for driving him away.
After I hesitated for a while, I was thinking on my feet. Then, I shouted "Daddy, the guy who
repaired the plumbing is coming." I saw the man fled in panic. I think he should be a fraudster.
In the evening, my parents came back, and I told them all about what happened. They praise
me for being smart and clever. This incident made me realize that I have to think twice before
doing anything.

Do you have the experience to stuck at somewhere when you face any problems in your life
even though it maybe just a small problem? Do you stuck at there for a long time? I am sure
that your answer is definitely yes. For me, I also stuck at numerous different types situation. It
had a matter that already happened 5 years ago but I also can bear this matter in my mind
clearly. I am saying this because it also can be my unforgettable day for me in my life.
It was a normal Tuesday and I woke up early in the morning although I burnt the midnight oil
yesterday because it was the examination week. I studied at the eleventh hour and I cannot
remember all the things in subject Science. I practice to write out all the things on a paper
about Science to make me had the clearer memory about it and pass the exam with flying
colours. As the saying goes, “practice makes perfect”. After that, I went to school by
motorcycle as usual and walked to the hall of school to sit for the exam. I felt that there had
many butterflies in my stomach because I was scared about failing this crucial subject.
When the exam was conducted, I saw many questions that I did not know how to solve. “Oh
no!” I whispered to myself. I know that it was a problem to pass my exam and I stuck at there
about 3-4 minutes. A bolt of the blue, I felt that there a paper in my pocket and I realized that it
was a paper and there had all the answers that I needed. Without wasting a single moment, I
asked the teacher for going out to the toilet. “Teacher, may I go to toilet.” I said to Mr Lim. “
Yes, of course.” Mr Lim said to me.
I took out the paper secretly and I remembered all the answers in my mind. After a short while,
I can bear the answers in my mind and I walked back to the hall confidently. After that, I took
out my pen and solve all the questions. Luckily, I got the enough time to do all the questions
and I passed up my exam paper to my teacher. After sitting for the exam, I was ashamed for my
action. Although I got the highest mark in the class but I was not on top of the world.
I promised to myself about do not cheat at the exam in the future. I solved the problems
quickly but it was not a good act and it made me to bear this matter in my mind permanently.

It was an unforgettable trip. Once she reached the front door of the toilet, she felt something
strange and creepy. Suddenly, there was a bearded man in a black shirt standing at the toilet
exit. She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down. The man looked right at her with a
creepy smile. She tried to get out of there as soon as possible. However, the man withdrew his
hand and pushed her towards the wall. The back of her body felt like it had been hit by a very
heavy rock as it came in contact with the toilet sink. Her body started to tremble and her knees
were swaying. She tried to squeeze her brain to find an idea but unfortunately it was not
working. "Help!. Please let me go. I'm begging you".

Suddenly, a quick and brilliant idea came across her mind. She just tried her luck. She
pretended to pass out and the man was not able to hold her since she was a little bit plum and
this time, she didn't want to lose an opportunity to kick his private part and she did it.
She ran away like Usain Bolt and dared not look back at all. She tried to find her mother and
luckily her mother was there. She hugged her mother and broke into tears. Julia was scared and
told her mother about what had happened. She thought that the sudden idea saved her life. Her
mother was shocked and immediately they went to lodge a report at the police station.
They told all the truth to the police and the police promised to do their best to arrest the man.
Julia was thankful that she was safe. She hoped next time she would not need to go anywhere
without her mother's knowledge. She promised herself that she would be more careful next
time.

My Flight to Sarawak

It was a long holiday . I had fun last vacation in Kuching, Sarawak.

Kuching is the capital city of Sarawak which is part of East Malaysia and is
located on the wider island of Borneo I was very happy and enjoyed a lot by
forgetting all the pressure of school days. Before this, my parents kept this plan
hidden from me to give me surprise and I was really surprised when I heard
about the plan to Sarawak. In the morning , we went to the airport on Kuala
Lumpur and had a flight to Kuching,Sarawak. It spends almost 2 hours.
Then, we directly went to the hotel that we had already booked. We had our
first day trip to Sarawak Cultural Village. I learnt all about the different
indigenous groups that live in this part of Malaysia, as well as take in a range of
local crafts and buildings. There are live demonstrations which taught me
ancient techniques such as weaving, bamboo carving, and bead making. I have
captured all the memorable moments into my smartphone to keep it with me
forever. My sweet family members are also captured in the clicks.
In the next day, we went to Gunung Gading National Park. At Gunung
Gading National Park however, the big draw is the flora rather than the fauna as
this is one of the spots where the famous and rare rafflesia flower grows. It is
the largest flowers in the world with the stinky smell. As well as admiring the
flowers I    also spent time in the park checking out the lush jungle trails. In the
following days, we went to a ot of places such as Old Courthouse, Sunday
Market and Cat Statue.
In this flights, so many joyful activities in between the places whenever we
got time. I have noticed and tried to learn something from the people of all
cultures and traditions. Lastly, we came home after spending fun-filled day in
Sarawak. Th memory of this flight is fresh in my head.I would love to visit the
place again.
